Location

The family-friendly hotel is separated from the sand/pebble beach by only a small road. There are rock slabs in the sea, so bathing shoes are recommended. Shopping and entertainment options are located in the vicinity. Hersonissos is approx. 3 km away and Heraklion is approx. 24 km away.

The resort consists of a main building and several bungalow buildings with a total of 351 rooms. It features a lobby with a 24-hour reception, 2 lifts, a TV corner, Wi-Fi (included), a shopping arcade with a mini-market, souvenir shop, and jewelry store, and a laundry service (for a fee). In addition to the main restaurant, guests can enjoy a culinary variety offered by five themed restaurants (Italian, Asian, Cretan/Greek specialties, fish, and a pop-up grill (adults only, in July and August), as well as a crêperie and five bars (including an adults-only bar with champagne, wine & sushi). The spacious grounds feature 4 swimming pools and a children's pool, as well as 2 water slides for children. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and on the beach. Bath towels are provided and available free of charge.

Super Saver Room

The spacious rooms feature a bath or shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, vanity mirror, bathrobes, bath towels, slippers, telephone, hairdryer, satellite TV, and a safe. The minibar is included and is restocked daily. Upon arrival, nuts, dried fruit, and a bottle of wine are provided. The rooms are also equipped with a coffee machine, and capsules for this are also restocked daily. All rooms have a balcony or terrace with land view (SSZ). Optionally also bookable as a double room for single use (DE).

With the same amenities as the Super Saver Rooms, these feature a balcony or terrace with sea view (B2M).

Bungalow Sea View Whirlpool

With the same amenities as the Super Saver Rooms, these feature a balcony or terrace with sea view. Additionally, there is a whirlpool on the balcony or terrace (BJM).
The whirlpool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We request prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Family Room

With the same amenities as the Super Saver Rooms, the family rooms additionally feature a sleeping area separated by a sliding door. The rooms are located in the bungalow area or in the main building (DF2). Optionally also bookable with sea view (F2M).

Family Room Sharing Pool

With the same amenities as the Super Saver Rooms, the family rooms additionally feature a sleeping area separated by a sliding door. In addition, the rooms have access to a sharing pool (F2H).
The sharing pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We request prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.

Climate Resilience Tax Note

For stays starting from 1/1/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax to be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of 1/1/2025, is staggered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room.
