Location

Located directly on the kilometer-long sandy beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag. The resort is built on a large, natural area. The fishing village of Georgioupolis is approx. 1 km away. The well-known Lake Kournas, the only natural freshwater lake on the Greek island of Crete, is reachable as an excursion destination in approx. 6 km. The entire hotel complex is situated amidst an area characterized by natural beauty, surrounded by olive and avocado trees. Furthermore, the hotel features a long private sandy beach with a picturesque view of the sea and the Lefka Ori (the so-called White Mountains), as well as carefully landscaped gardens and swimming pools. Chania Airport is approximately 42 km away, Heraklion approx. 100 km.

The spacious resort with 450 rooms, spread across 2 areas connected by an underpass, was completely renovated in 2021. One of the areas is located in the lower part of the resort directly on the sandy beach. The main building houses the reception (24h) with a spacious lobby lounge, main restaurant with roof terrace, Greek themed restaurant with an Italian corner, bar with a large terrace, billiard room, bridge room, conference rooms, hairdresser, jeweler, mini-market, and an indoor pool (heated, for the pre- and post-season) and a spa area. In the adjacent building, near the beach, there is an Asian restaurant (June-September), a beach restaurant, and a beach bar. Outdoors, there is an open-air cinema, 4 freshwater swimming pools with sun terraces and lawns, and a children's pool with slides (for children up to 8 years old). Sun loungers, beach towels, and umbrellas are included by the pools and on the beach.

Bungalow Superior

The Superior Bungalows have been renovated and feature a bathroom with bath/toilet or shower/toilet, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), safe (included), kettle with cups for tea/coffee preparation, and a furnished balcony or terrace with garden view (2BU/BUA).
Also available with pool view (X2B/BPI/BUA) or for single occupancy with garden view (1BU).

Bungalow Beach/Garden Side

The bungalows, with the same amenities as the Superior Bungalows, offer garden views and are located in the lower part of the resort, close to the beach (E2L). Also available with a location in the lower part of the resort with sea view (B2M) or for single occupancy with sea view (B1M).

Bungalow Beachfront

The Beachfront Bungalows have the same amenities as the Superior Bungalows and are located in the first row to the beach (BF2).

Family Junior Suite 2 Bedrooms

The Family Junior Suites have the same amenities as the Superior Bungalows and consist of a bathroom or shower/toilet and two bedrooms accessible via a connecting door (located in the upper part of the resort, FJ2).

Deluxe Suite Pool View

The spacious suites are located in the upper part of the resort, consisting of a bedroom, a separate living/sleeping room with a double sofa bed or two single beds, and feature a shower/toilet, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), refrigerator, minibar (for a fee), safe (included), kettle with cups for tea/coffee preparation, and a furnished balcony or terrace with pool view (S2).

Meals

Half Board

Rich breakfast buffet in the main restaurant and also in the beach restaurant Gialos (May-October). Dinner also as a buffet in the main restaurant Kronos with show cooking. Optionally also available in the Greek themed restaurant Ariadne and the beach restaurant "Gialos" with theme nights (except Wednesday and Saturday).
Appropriate attire is requested. Gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers for dinner.
Gluten-free products are available. The food is labeled accordingly.
Vegan and vegetarian dishes are also available.

Breakfast (7-11 am) and dinner (6:30-9:30 pm) served buffet-style with show cooking at the main restaurant "Kronos".
Breakfast also available buffet-style at the Beach Restaurant "Gialos" (8-10:30 am) as an option.
Early bird breakfast from 5-7 am and lunch buffet (12:30-3:30 pm) at the "Ariadni" restaurant.
Dinner is also available buffet-style at the Greek restaurant "Ariadni" (6:30-10:30 pm) and at the beach restaurant "Gialos" (6:30-9:30 pm) (5 days a week, reservation required) or at the Asian à la carte restaurant "Almyra" (1x per week included, reservation required).
Snacks, fruit, yogurt, and ice cream are served from 11 am to 5 pm at the "Ariadni" restaurant.
Local and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic (branded) drinks, such as water, soft drinks, juices, tea, draft beer, house wine, cocktails, various coffee specialties, and spirits are included from 10 am to midnight at the bars that are open.

Sports included

Table tennis and fitness room. Soft animation with beach games and tournaments, basketball, fitness classes, yoga, aqua aerobics, football, darts, boccia, and beach volleyball.

Sports for a fee

2 artificial turf tennis courts (floodlit) and 1 granular tennis court, Padel tennis, bicycle rental, horse riding, billiards, and water sports (local providers).

Note for climate resilience contribution

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience contribution, payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room starting from 01.01.2025.
