Location

The Georgioupolis Resort is an exclusive holiday resort, separated from the gently sloping sandy beach only by the national road (approx. 250 m via an underpass; a shuttle service is available on request), and is located approx. 3 km from the village of Georgioupolis and 700 m from the center of Kavros. The well-known Kournas Lake, the only natural freshwater lake in Crete, is approx. 3 km away. Chania Airport is approx. 48 km away and Heraklion Airport is approx. 101 km away.

The sprawling hotel complex with 155 rooms consists of a main building and several two-story bungalow buildings. The main building features a bright, new, and luxurious lobby with a 24-hour reception, satellite TV corner, Wi-Fi (included throughout the entire hotel complex), a mini-market, a non-smoking restaurant with a new design, the "Elia" à-la-carte restaurant with a partially covered outdoor terrace, and several bars (weather-dependent). In the spacious outdoor area, there is a large "Activity Pool" as well as a quiet/relaxation pool with a sun terrace, pool/snack bars, a Meze restaurant, and a grill/fish restaurant on the beach (weather-dependent, reservation required).
Since summer 2020, there is a water park belonging to the hotel with various slides and water games for all ages.
On the beach, there is a beach bar and a "Sweet Corner," where a large selection of desserts and ice cream is available.
Sun loungers and parasols are provided free of charge on the beach. There are also Bali beds that can be reserved subject to availability (for a fee; included with AI Plus, subject to availability). Pool towels are available against a deposit. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire hotel complex.

These are Superior Double Rooms with the same amenities and are located in the bungalows with a garden view (B2A/B2B). Additionally, a welcome basket, bathrobes, slippers, a kettle, and coffee/tea-making facilities are included.

Located in the bungalow buildings or the main building, these are freshly renovated and furnished in a fresh design. Same amenities as the Superior Double Room, but more spacious and featuring a separate bedroom, with a sofa bed or additional beds (F2U). Junior Suite

The comfortably furnished Junior Suites are located on the ground floor and feature a bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate living area with a sofa bed, bathroom with walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and care products, 2x individually adjustable air conditioning units, fan, safe, 2x 46" Smart satellite TV with HDMI connection, telephone, coffee and tea station, espresso machine (4 capsules daily per room), as well as a minibar (included for AI guests and daily refilled with 2 cans of beer, 2 cans of soft drinks, 2 bottles of water, and 2 juices; with HB, replenishment only for a fee). A laptop, tablet, iPad, e-book reader, or PlayStation can be rented on request and subject to availability against a deposit. Further amenities include an additional turndown service in the afternoon and a full-body mirror. All Junior Suites have a terrace with a table and chairs (bookable under hotel code HER713, JS2/J2B). Meals

Half board

Breakfast and dinner in buffet form. Dinner is also possible between 7 pm and 9:30 pm at the "Elia" à-la-carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill/fish restaurant on the beach; reservation is required, extra charge applies. Drinks are generally not included for guests with the Half board meal plan. Vegetarian dishes and special dietary meals are offered (on request on-site in the restaurant).
Appropriate clothing is requested for dinner.

Breakfast (7 am - 10 am), lunch (12:30 pm - 2:30 pm), and dinner (6:30 pm - 9:30 pm) with regular theme nights in buffet form in the main restaurant. Early bird breakfast until 7:30 am, late risers receive a small breakfast from 10 am - 10:30 am (on request). A midnight snack is offered from 10:30 pm - midnight.
1x per week, dinner is included in the "Elia" à-la-carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill restaurant on the beach (reservation required, drinks for a fee, but guests receive a 20% discount on drinks).
From 12 pm - 4 pm, there is also a selection of snacks, sweets, and ice cream.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included from 10 am - midnight at the respective open bar: soft drinks, water, soda, various juices, beer, open wines (white and red), Ouzo, Raki, brandy, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whisky, liqueurs, as well as selected cocktails.
Selected drinks and snacks are included at the beach bar.

All Inclusive Plus

In addition to the points mentioned in All Inclusive, dinner can be taken daily, subject to availability, at the "Elia" à-la-carte restaurant, the Meze restaurant, or the grill restaurant on the beach (limited availability, reservation required). Selected wines are included, the remaining wines are available according to the menu for a fee (with a 20% discount).
The replenishment of the minibar every two days with 2 cans of beer, 2 cans of cola, and 1 sprite is also included. Further drinks and snacks are available for a fee.
In addition, various iced coffee variations, over 25 cocktails, and a large selection of international brand spirits are included.
Drinks and snacks are also included at the beach bar.

For our little guests, the hotel has a mini club (0-2 years, under parental supervision), kids' club (3-12 years), a teens' club (13-17 years, only July 15th - August 31st), children's playground with indoor and outdoor areas, children's pool, baby cots, high chairs in the restaurant, as well as a diverse animation program with games, dances, quizzes, competitions, evening shows, musicals, sketches, and activities on various themes.

Wellness

Wellness center with massage salon, nail studio, as well as a beauty salon with facial and beauty treatments. All treatments and facilities are available for a fee.
The use of the sauna and hammam is included (subject to availability).

Note Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from Jan 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
