Location

The Arina Beach Hotel is beautifully situated on a "Blue Flag" awarded beach in Kokkini Chani and is known for its excellent food and spacious accommodation and entertainment options. The property is set on a beautiful 10-hectare garden landscape with lush vegetation, making it the ideal choice for families and couples.
The town of Gouves is approx. 1 km away, and Heraklion Airport is approx. 10 km from the hotel. A bus stop is located near the hotel.

The hotel, which offers excellent service, has 313 rooms distributed between the main building and several annexes. There is also an annex building on the opposite side of the road (about 70 m from the main building) that has its own pool and is only bookable for guests aged 16 and over. Hotel amenities include a 24-hour reception, lobby, elevator, a main restaurant, "Asia-Fusions" restaurant "Sunset", à-la-carte restaurant "Avra", bars, sauna, heated indoor pool, souvenir shop, and a mini-market. The well-maintained outdoor area features a saltwater swimming pool, sun terrace, pool/snack bar, and beach bar. The hotel also has a water park with various slides. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and beach.
Wi-Fi is included throughout the property.

Accommodation

Double Room Pool View Annex

The double rooms with pool view are located in the annex building on the opposite side of the road. This 3-story building contains 32 modern rooms overlooking the annex pool. All facilities of the main building may be used. The rooms have a double bed and shower/WC with hairdryer. The rooms are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, LCD satellite TV, telephone, safe (included), mini-fridge (daily refill of water and soft drinks included), coffee/tea station, espresso machine, and a furnished balcony with pool view (DA, bookable for ages 16+).

Double Room for Single Use

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms can be located in the main building, annex, or the annex building (across the road) and offer garden/land view (DE).

Double Room Sea View

The rooms are located in the main building or in the annexes near the main building and have a double bed or two single beds and shower/WC with hairdryer. They are also equipped with centrally controlled air conditioning (included), coffee/tea station, espresso machine, LCD TV, telephone, safe, mini-fridge (daily refill of water and soft drinks included), and a furnished balcony or terrace with sea view (DM/DMI/DMA).
A sofa bed is available for a 3rd person.

Double Room Superior Sea View

With the same amenities as the double rooms with sea view, the superior double rooms with sea view are located in the annexes near the main building and have a double bed and a sofa bed (DMU/MSA).

Double Room Penthouse Sea View

These rooms are located in the main building on the 4th and 5th floors and offer a breathtaking view of the sea. They feature shower/WC with hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and bath towels. They are also equipped with centrally controlled air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV, mini-fridge (daily refill with water and soft drinks), espresso machine, and balcony with sea view (PM2/DHI/PMO).
A sofa bed is available for a 3rd person.
Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed in the à-la-carte restaurant "Avra" upon prior reservation.

Bungalow Private Pool Beachfront

The bungalows with a private pool are in the first row directly on the beach. They offer a relaxed and romantic retreat with a beautiful view of the sea. They feature shower/WC with hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, bath towels, and bathroom amenities. Furthermore, they are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, telephone, mini-fridge (daily refill with soft drinks and water), espresso machine, and terrace (2PX).
A sofa bed is available for a 3rd person.
Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed in the à-la-carte restaurant "Avra" upon prior reservation.
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased potential danger for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen enforces a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Family Room Sea View

The slightly more spacious family rooms are located in the main building or the annexes and feature a double bed and full-sized beds for additional persons, a separate sleeping area with a sliding door, and shower/WC with hairdryer and bathroom amenities. They are also equipped with centrally controlled air conditioning, flatscreen satellite TV, safe, telephone, mini-fridge (daily refill with water and soft drinks), microwave, coffee/tea maker, espresso machine, and a balcony or terrace with sea view (F2M).
Alternatively, also bookable as Family Room Sea View Type A with an extra sleeping option and slightly more space (FA2) or as Family Room Sea View Type B in open-plan style (FMB, without sliding door) located in the annexes near the main building.

Designed on 2 levels with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, and bathroom amenities. Note on climate resilience tax

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
