The Giannoulis Cavo Spada Luxury Sports & Leisure Resort is ideally suited for sports enthusiasts seeking a wonderful stay in a peaceful and luxurious environment. The resort boasts a very spacious layout, spread across approximately 65,000 m² of private grounds, directly on the pebble beach. This section of the beach has been awarded the "Blue Flag" for its high water quality. Chania is about 23 km away, Chania Airport approximately 40 km, and the village of Kolymbari with its numerous shopping and entertainment options is about 2 km away. Heraklion Airport, on the other hand, can be reached in about 164 km.

The 150 stylishly furnished rooms offer tasteful decor and first-class comfort. Furthermore, this fully air-conditioned, luxurious, top-class hotel features a 24-hour reception with a lobby, a main bar overlooking Chania Bay, a lounge area, a boutique, a hairdresser, and an indoor pool. There is a main restaurant and 3 à la carte restaurants ("Azzuro" Italian, "Ayra" Mediterranean & "Sea Line" Greek taverna).
Free Wi-Fi access is available in public areas and rooms.
The extensive outdoor area features a generously designed lagoon-style swimming pool and a pool bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and on the beach for hotel guests.

Optionally, rooms with sea view can be booked for an additional charge (DDM/MDI).

Deluxe Double Room Swim Up partial sea view

With the same amenities as the Deluxe Double Rooms, these rooms feature a private terrace with sun loungers, direct pool access, and a partial sea view (DDS).

Superior Double Room Sea View

The Superior Double Rooms Sea View are equipped with a separate bath and shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV with music channels, minibar (for a fee), and a large balcony with sun loungers, an umbrella, and panoramic sea view. These rooms are located on the upper floors (DMU).

Superior Double Room Sharing Pool

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms Sea View, these rooms feature a terrace with sun loungers and direct access to the shared pool, with garden instead of sea view (P2H/2SH).
The shared pool is not supervised. Please exercise caution when using this area, especially with children.

Deluxe Family Room Garden View

The spacious family rooms consist of a combined living/sleeping area with a separate bedroom and are equipped with a separate bath and shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV with music channels, minibar (for a fee), and a balcony or terrace. These rooms are more spacious (2DF).

Family Room Sharing Pool

With the same amenities as the Deluxe Family Rooms, the Family Rooms Sharing Pool feature direct access to the communal pool with a terrace and private sun loungers (F2H).
The shared pool is not supervised. Please exercise caution when using this area, especially with children.

Junior Suite Swim Up Sea View

The Junior Suites Swim Up consist of a combined living/sleeping area with a seating area and are equipped with a separate bath and shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV with music channels, minibar (for a fee), and a private terrace with sun loungers and umbrellas, offering direct access to the main pool with sea view (SDP).

Meals

Half Board

Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10:30 AM) and dinner (7:00 PM - 9:30 PM) served buffet style.
Appropriate attire is requested during meals (except at the "Beach Taverne").
Vegetarian and special diet menus are available upon request. Please contact the reception upon arrival.

All Inclusive

All Inclusive (A)

Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10:30 AM), lunch (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) and dinner (7:00 PM - 9:30 PM) served buffet style in the main restaurant.
Water, soft drinks, local beer, and house wine are included with meals.
Local and selected international alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available from 10:00 AM to midnight at the respective open bars.
Snacks are served from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and ice cream and cake from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Lunch is available twice a week at the "Sea Line" beach taverna (instead of the buffet restaurant; reservation required; drinks included). Dinner is available once a week at the Italian à la carte restaurant "Azzurro" (reservation required; drinks not included; minimum consumption of €18 per person for drinks). Complimentary mineral water in the room (replenished daily) is included.

Ultra All Inclusive (3)

Guests with Ultra All Inclusive enjoy extended hours until 1:00 AM and can dine daily for free at the "Azzurro" à la carte restaurant as well as lunch at the Greek taverna "Sea Line" (reservations required by 9:00 PM the day before).
Participation in the BBQ and Seafood nights is also included (reservations required by 9:00 PM the day before).
Additionally, guests receive one complimentary 45-minute spa treatment per week (includes indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath). Upon arrival, a fruit basket and a bottle of wine are provided, and the minibar is replenished daily.

Sports included

Spacious indoor fitness center equipped with over 30 branded cardio machines and full fitness accessories. Outdoor fitness area of approximately 300 m², featuring two different surfaces (hard and elastic) and equipped with over 20 branded machines. 60-meter tartan running track. Floodlit multi-purpose court for mini-football and volleyball (fee applies at night). Outdoor fitness classes are offered on the beach. Two boules/bowls courts. Open-air obstacle course, beach volleyball, well-marked and mapped trails for hiking, Nordic walking, and jogging ranging from one to seven kilometers through various picturesque locations around the hotel, Zumba, yoga, and Pilates classes.

Sports for a fee

Tennis and Padel tennis (reservations required). Indoor spinning center with spinning bikes and a bicycle station in the hotel. Various water sports on the beach.

Children's program

Children's pool and children's entertainment. The kids' club is open 6 times a week (for children aged 3 and up).

Notice on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day per room starting January 1, 2025.
