The cozy Hotel Elea Terra is situated on the quiet edge of the beautiful former fishing village of Matala, only approx. 550 m from the beach. The center of the tranquil village of Matala, with its few restaurants and bars, is located approx. 750 m from the hotel. The beautiful and popular red beach "Kokkini Ammos" can be reached via a hiking trail and is approx. 2.3 km away. The international airport of Heraklion is approx. 65 km from "Elea Terra". A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel.

The small, family-run hotel was partially renovated in some areas for the summer of 2024. It has 60 rooms spread over three buildings and offers a 24-hour reception, lobby, TV lounge, main bar, elevator (in the main building), and a restaurant. In the well-maintained grounds, there is a swimming pool and a newly designed and furnished pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Wi-Fi is included throughout the hotel complex.

Destination information Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from 01/01/2018, the Greek government will levy a climate resilience fee to be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
