Location

The family-run hotel Valley Village is located approximately 1 km from the entrance to the village and the fine-pebble "Blue Flag" awarded beach of Matala. In the center of Matala, there are several shopping and entertainment options. The distance to Heraklion airport is approximately 75 km. A bus stop can be reached after approximately 850 m.

This family-friendly property, which has been traditionally managed for many years, features 67 rooms distributed between a main building and several annexes. The main building houses the 24-hour reception with a central safe (available for a fee), a TV and internet corner, and a bar. In the beautiful, idyllic garden of the complex, there is a freshwater swimming pool with a separate children's pool, as well as a sun terrace with loungers and umbrellas, which can be used free of charge. At the public beach, loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee.

Double room mountain view

The double rooms are located in the main building, are traditionally furnished, and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a balcony with a mountain view (D).

Double room garden view

These double rooms are located in the idyllic garden area, are slightly larger, and are also traditionally furnished with a telephone, radio, refrigerator, air conditioning, shower/WC, and a balcony with a garden view. They additionally feature satellite TV and a hairdryer (DA).

Single room

These are double rooms for single occupancy (DE).
Also bookable as Type A at a special price (DEA) as an additional allotment. With Type A, accommodation can be provided throughout the entire complex.

Comfort double room

The Schauinsland-Reisen original comfort rooms feature the same amenities as the double rooms Type A with king-size beds, LCD satellite TV, coffee/tea making facilities, air conditioning, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, bathroom amenities, and complimentary pool towels. The central safe can be used free of charge. The comfort rooms are located in the garden (2CD). Optionally also bookable for single occupancy (1CD).

Bungalow 2 bedrooms

The bungalows consist of 2 bedrooms with extremely comfortable Coco-Mat mattresses, telephone, air conditioning, refrigerator, smart TV, and a bathroom with a shower and bathtub with whirlpool function, WC, and hairdryer, as well as a small terrace and mini-garden (B22).

Continental breakfast buffet (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM) and dinner (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) in buffet style.

Climate resilience levy note

For stays starting from January 1, 2018, the Greek government imposes a climate resilience levy, to be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and has been scaled from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
