Location

The Apollo Plakias is a small aparthotel in a quiet location, only approx. 150 m from the sandy beach of Plakias. The nearest bars and restaurants can be reached in about 50 m, and the town of Rethymno is approx. 35 km away. It is about 120 km to Chania International Airport and 130 km to Heraklion Airport.

Facilities

The small complex with only 34 rooms features a lobby with reception (staffed from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.), luggage storage, and a breakfast lounge. There is a swimming pool in the garden area, and a pool/snack bar provides refreshments and snacks.
Since summer 2024, the pool area has been renovated and offers new sunbeds and umbrellas (included) as well as a renovated pool/snack bar and a newly designed garden area. Sun umbrellas and sunbeds are included at the pool, but are available for a fee at the public beach. Bath towels are available for a fee.
Wi-Fi is included in the rooms.

Deluxe Double Room renovated

The Deluxe double rooms are freshly renovated and feature a shower/WC with hairdryer and toiletries. They are also equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning/heating, telephone, safe, flatscreen TV, mini-fridge with one bottle of water daily, ceiling fan, coffee/tea maker with daily replenishment, Nespresso machine (including two capsules per day, further ones for a fee), and a balcony (DD2).
Also bookable for single use (DD1/1TA).

Featuring the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms, they additionally include a kitchenette with fridge, hot plate, kettle, and kitchen utensils as well as a dining table and are also renovated (DX2/G2I).

Destination information

For stays starting from January 1, 2018, the Greek government imposes a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
