Location

This comfortable resort is located at the entrance to the charming village of Plakias on the south coast of Crete. The coastal road separates the hotel from the sand/pebble beach. The village center, with its numerous tavernas and cafes lining the waterfront, is approximately 250 m away. Plakias is an ideal starting point for excursions to southern Crete, such as the Preveli Monastery. A bus stop is located 300 m away.
The distance to Chania Airport is approximately 99 km and to Heraklion Airport is approximately 116 km.

The hotel has been family-owned for four decades and will be extensively renovated and expanded for Summer 2026. With a fresh look and a new hotel wing, the resort will shine with elegant splendor while retaining its hospitable and traditional character. It offers 126 modern, comfortable rooms, a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a lounge area with satellite TV, a bar, and an air-conditioned restaurant. Outdoors, there is an existing freshwater swimming pool and a new pool in the additionally constructed buildings. Both are surrounded by inviting sun terraces with loungers and umbrellas, each with a pool bar/snackbar. Wi-Fi is included in the public areas of the hotel. Private parking is available to guests free of charge. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available from third-party providers on the nearby sand/pebble beach.

The renovated Deluxe Maisonettes with Pool View are located on the first floor and consist of a bedroom upstairs and a living/sleeping area with a sofa bed and a bathroom downstairs. The Amalthea restaurant is located in the main building and offers varied buffets with a first-class selection of Greek, Mediterranean dishes, and local products.

Notice regarding Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from 01.01.2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 01.01.2025.
