Location

This comfortable Alianthos Estate Resort is located at the entrance to the enchanting village of Plakias on the south coast of Crete. The coastal road separates the resort from the sand/pebble beach. The centre of the village is approx. 250 m away, where numerous tavernas and cafés line the shore. Plakias is an ideal starting point for excursions to southern Crete, such as the Preveli Monastery. A bus stop is located 300 m away.
The distance to Chania airport is approx. 99 km and to Heraklion airport approx. 116 km.

The hotel has been family-owned for four decades and was extensively renovated and expanded for summer 2026. Thanks to its fresh appearance and a new hotel area, the complex shines with elegant splendour without losing its essence of hospitality and tradition. In addition to 126 modern, comfortable rooms, it offers a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a lounge area with satellite TV, a bar and an air-conditioned restaurant. In the hotel's outdoor area, there is an existing freshwater swimming pool as well as a new pool by the newly constructed buildings. Both are surrounded by inviting sun terraces with sun loungers and parasols, each with its own pool/snack bar. Wi-Fi is included in all areas of the hotel. Private parking is available free of charge. Sun loungers and parasols are offered by third-party providers at the nearby sand/pebble beach.

Breakfast/Half-Board

The Amalthea restaurant is located in the main building, where varied buffets with a first-class selection of Greek and Mediterranean dishes as well as local products are offered.
Breakfast is offered from 7 am to 10 am.
If half-board is booked, dinner is included from 7 pm to 9:30 pm.
Drinks are not included with dinner.
Vegetarian dishes are available.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

Destination information Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from 1 January 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of the accommodation and has been scaled from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room since 1 January 2025.
