Location

The friendly hotel complex belongs to the "Minos Collection" and is centrally located on the outskirts of the town of Rethymnon. The sand/pebble beach is approximately 150 m away. Various shopping and entertainment venues are located about 100 m away, and the old town can be reached on foot in 15-20 minutes. It is approx. 30 m to the nearest bus stop, approx. 80 km to Heraklion Airport, and approx. 72 km to Chania Airport.

Facilities

The well-maintained Hotel Minos, with its courteous and professional service, features a total of 174 rooms as well as a lobby with a 24-hour reception, an air-conditioned restaurant, and a bar with a terrace. The outdoor area includes two freshwater swimming pools (one of which is an adults-only pool), a children's pool, sun terraces, and a pool/snack bar. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Pool towels are available against a deposit. Wi-Fi is free of charge throughout the entire hotel complex.

Double room Deluxe

The more spacious Double rooms Deluxe feature a bathroom with shower/WC, bathrobes, slippers, pillow menu, tablet (against deposit), 40" satellite TV, air conditioning, safe, telephone, refrigerator, minibar (on request, for a fee), tea/coffee maker, and a fruit basket and wine upon arrival. An additional sleeping option is also provided (DD2). Optionally available for single use (DD1) or, for an extra charge, with pool view and further amenities (turndown service and down duvets) (DPB).

Junior suite Superior

The Junior suite Superior features a bathroom with shower/WC, bathrobes, slippers, pillow menu, tablet (against deposit), 40" satellite TV, air conditioning, safe, telephone, refrigerator, minibar (weekly replenishment with non-alcoholic beverages), tea/coffee maker, a welcome package with fruit and sparkling wine, as well as pool towels. In the combined living/bedroom, there are two single beds/sofa beds in addition to a double bed (JU2).

Breakfast buffet with show cooking in the "Ambrosia" restaurant from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., sparkling wine brunch every Sunday.
When booking half board, dinner is also included as a buffet with show cooking in the "Ambrosia" restaurant from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

A sparkling wine brunch takes place every Sunday.
A continental early-bird breakfast can be enjoyed from 5:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. by prior arrangement.

Destination information (Climate Resilience Tax)

For stays starting from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a local tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, is staggered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room.
For stays in the high season April 1–October 31:
