The city hotel Theartemis Palace is located just 200 metres from the long sandy beach of Rethymnon and only a 15-minute walk from the historic city centre with its beautiful narrow streets and the harbour. Heraklion Airport is approx. 80 km away and Chania Airport is approx. 68 km away.

This comfortable hotel with a total of 249 rooms features a lobby with 24-hour reception, luggage storage, lift, lounge with terrace, main restaurant (renovated in 2025), à-la-carte restaurant, lobby bar, and snack bar. Furthermore, there is a jeweller, a cosmetics shop, children's play area, fitness room, and an external spa area. The outdoor complex features a sun terrace with two freshwater swimming pools with integrated children's pool, sun loungers, and parasols, as well as a pool/snack bar. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach (provided by external operators). Pool towels are included.
Wi-Fi is included in public areas and in the rooms.

Superior double room

Feature the same facilities as the double rooms but are located on the upper floors (DSU).

Superior double room with whirlpool

With the same facilities as the double rooms, these rooms are located on the ground floor and feature an outdoor whirlpool (JN2).
The whirlpool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for prudent behaviour and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential hazard for small children.
Therefore, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types for safety reasons.

Family room

Feature the same facilities as the double rooms with shower/WC, consisting of a bedroom with one double bed or two twin beds and a living/bedroom with two sofa beds (DF2).

Maisonette

Feature the same facilities as the double rooms with shower/WC and are designed in maisonette style (M2).

Suite with private pool

The suites have a living/sleeping area that can be separated by a sliding door. The rooms have standard equipment with a private, heated outdoor pool (SP2).

Note regarding climate resilience fee

For stays starting from 1 January 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room starting from 1 January 2025.
