Location

The newly built Oros Luxury Beach Resort is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Episkopi. A "Blue Flag" awarded sandy beach is in the immediate vicinity. The city center of Rethymno can be reached in approx. 8 km. Chania Airport is approx. 55 km away and Heraklion Airport is approx. 95 km away.

The modern resort features 226 rooms and an entrance area with a 24-hour reception. Gastronomic options include the main restaurant "Órizontas", three à la carte restaurants: "Yaku" (Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine), "Madaros" (Cretan cuisine), and "Pool Club Restaurant" (grill restaurant), as well as a pool/snack bar, the lobby bar "Aperanto", and the "Palm Club Bar". There is also a wine cellar, a boutique, and a mini-market.
The well-maintained outdoor area features two pools and a beach section. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are provided free of charge both at the pool and on the beach.
Wi-Fi is included throughout the resort and in the rooms.

Deluxe Double Room Private Pool Sea View

The Deluxe double rooms with private pool feature the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms and also include a private pool (TP2).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for security reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Junior Suite Private Pool Sea View

The Junior suites consist of a combined living/sleeping area, are spacious, equipped with a king-size bed and two sofa beds, and feature a semi-open bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC, double vanity, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, telephone, Smart TV with satellite and music channels, safe, kettle, Nespresso machine, as well as a terrace with a private pool and sea view (J2M).

Family Suite Private Pool Sea View

The luxurious Family suites consist of two separate bedrooms, equipped with a king-size bed and a sofa bed in one bedroom, and a twin bed in the other bedroom. Each bedroom has an adjoining door to a bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC, double vanity, and hairdryer. Furthermore, these luxurious rooms offer individually controlled air conditioning, telephone, Smart TV with satellite and music channels, safe, kettle, Nespresso machine, and a terrace with a private pool and sea view (L2O).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.

The Family Suite Private Pool Sea View is not supervised by a lifeguard. Please pay close attention to your children when using this area and exercise caution.

2-Bedroom Villa

The 2-Bedroom Villa consists of two separate bedrooms, equipped with a total of two king-size beds and two sofa beds, a spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a semi-open bathroom in each, with a double vanity, separate shower, and WC. The bathroom in the master bedroom also features a separate bathtub. Furthermore, the villas have individually controlled air conditioning, telephone, Smart TV with satellite and music channels, safe, kettle, Nespresso machine, and a terrace with a private pool (V22).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.

Meals

Breakfast/Half board

Breakfast buffet from 7:30-10:30 a.m. in the main restaurant.
Early-bird breakfast available from 6-7:30 a.m.
If half board is booked, dinner is provided in buffet form in the main restaurant from 6-9 p.m.
Alternatively, dinner can be taken à la carte once a week (reservation required).
The hotel also offers vegetarian alternatives.

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays starting from Jan 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and has been tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of Jan 1, 2025.
For stays in the high season (April 1 to Oct 31):
1-2 Star category: 2 Euro
3 Star category: 5 Euro
4 Star category: 10 Euro
5 Star category: 15 Euro
For stays in the low season (Nov 1 to March 31):
1-2 Star category: 0.50 Euro
