Location

Located just across the coastal road from the beach, Cactus Beach is close to one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Stalis. Centrally situated between Agios Nikolaos and the capital Heraklion, and only approx. 35 km from the international airport. In the immediate vicinity, you will find numerous bars, tavernas, entertainment, and shopping facilities.

Facilities

This very popular holiday resort with many returning guests and families comprises 388 rooms spread across several buildings. It offers a 24-hour reception, lobby, luggage room, air-conditioned main restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants (Greek, Italian; reservations required, open seasonally), a bar, and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex.
The beautifully landscaped and colorful grounds feature 3 freshwater pools, 1 children's pool, sun terraces, various pool/snack bars, and a beach bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool, and available for a fee on the beach. Beach towels are provided for a deposit (charges apply for changes).
Parking is available on-site subject to availability and is included.
Guests can enjoy a water park (open seasonally) with 2 large water slides and an exciting pirate ship with 3 small slides for children.

These rooms are more spacious than the double rooms with the same amenities and consist of 2 connecting bedrooms with an interconnecting door (2F).

Breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (12:30-2 pm), and dinner (6-9 pm) are served buffet-style, with some show cooking.
Once per stay, dinner in one of the à la carte restaurants (Greek or Italian; reservations required, open seasonally) is included.
Snacks are available at the pool bars and beach bar from 10 am to 5 pm. Pastries and ice cream from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages such as soft drinks, draft beer, wine, ouzo, raki, vodka, rum, gin, brandy, liqueurs, and selected cocktails are included from 10 am to 11 pm at the open bar.

Information on climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room from January 1, 2025.
