Location

The hotel is situated in the holiday area of Kalithea, in a quiet location and rural surroundings. The sand/pebble beach is approx. 150 m from the hotel and is accessible via a steep footpath. The Kalithea swimming bay can be reached after approx. 1.5 km. The distance to the city center of Rhodes is approx. 7 km. The international airport of Rhodes is approx. 20 km away.

Facilities

The well-managed family hotel consists of a main building and several two-story annex buildings with a total of 286 rooms. It features a lobby with 24-hour reception, luggage storage, TV lounge, elevators, main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, lobby bar, and a mini-market. In the well-kept hotel grounds, there is a sun terrace with sun loungers and umbrellas, the pool bar, a total of three swimming pools (one with a water slide), a separate children's pool, and a playground. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach; pool/beach towels are available upon deposit.

Double room

The spacious rooms are located in the main building or in the annex building and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning (included from 1.6.-30.9.), safe (included), telephone, 32" flatscreen satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), mini-fridge, coffee/tea station, as well as a balcony or terrace (D). A bottle of water is provided upon arrival.
Optionally available for single use (DE) or with pool view (PD) for an extra charge.

Double room Comfort

Equipped with the same amenities as the double rooms, these are slightly larger and located in the 2-story bungalow buildings (2CD).

Double room Superior

Equipped with the same amenities as the double rooms, but are more modern and can be located in both the main building and the 2-story bungalow buildings (DSU). Optionally available with sea view for an extra charge (DMU).

Double room Deluxe

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these are slightly larger, more modern, and feature a 40" flatscreen satellite TV (DD2).
Optionally available with side sea view for an extra charge (DDS).

Family room

Equipped with the same amenities as the double rooms, featuring a bathtub instead of a shower, these consist of two rooms separated by a sliding door. They are larger and located in the annex buildings near the pool (DF2).

Family room Superior 2 rooms

Equipped with the same amenities as the family rooms, these consist of a combined living/sleeping area with a separate bedroom (DFS-not 2 bedrooms!).

Family room 2 bedrooms

Equipped with the same amenities as the family rooms Superior, these have two separate bedrooms and a living/sleeping area with a sofa bed. They are slightly more spacious and located in the 2-story bungalow buildings (2FZ).

Suite Superior Whirlpool

These luxurious and spacious suites are located in the 2-story bungalow buildings. With the same amenities as the double rooms, they feature bathrobes, slippers, and two 32" flatscreen TVs. They consist of a spacious living/sleeping area with a separate bedroom, and offer a whirlpool as well as private sun loungers on the terrace (S2J).
The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased potential danger for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Suite Superior private pool

These luxurious and spacious suites are located in the 2-story bungalow buildings. With the same amenities as the double rooms, they feature bathrobes, slippers, and two 32" flatscreen TVs. They consist of a spacious living/sleeping area with a separate bedroom, and offer a private pool as well as private sun loungers on the terrace (SP2).

Breakfast (7-10 am) and dinner (6:30-9 pm) at the "Dionysos" main restaurant buffet-style, 3x per week with themed cuisine (Greek, Italian, Asian). Lunch from 12-1:30 pm at the "Fresca All Day" restaurant, also buffet-style. Late-riser breakfast from 10-10:30 am.
Dinner can be taken 1x per stay in one of the two à-la-carte restaurants (reservation required, additional visits for a fee).
From 11 am to 5 pm, warm snacks are offered at "Fresca All-Day". Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available from 12 pm to 11 pm at the respective open bar.

Destination information: Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from 1/1/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
