Location

The Almhotel Kärnten is located at an altitude of 1500m and offers breathtaking views of the Carnic Alps. Surrounded by pristine nature, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hikes and excursions for guests of all ages. Numerous hiking and cycling trails in the region invite you to explore.
The Gartnerkofel chairlift is only approx. 300m away, allowing you to easily reach the peaks of the Carnic Alps. The center of Tröpolach is approx. 10 km away and offers many amenities such as shops, restaurants, and other leisure options.
Specifically in winter:
The Almhotel, with its magnificent panoramic view of the Carnic Alps, is situated in the middle of the Nassfeld ski area (30 lifts, with 110km of ski slopes for all skill levels) at an altitude of approx. 1500 m. DUE TO THE HOTEL'S DIRECT LOCATION ON THE SKI SLOPE, SKIING TO AND FROM THE HOTEL IS POSSIBLE. Gartnerkofel lift approx. 300m, Trögel lift approx. 300m. Ski and boot rental, ski school approx. 1km, cross-country ski trail approx. 2km. The Italian border is only approx. 1.8 km away.

Amenities

The Almhotel Kärnten is a lovingly managed 4-star hotel with 39 cozy rooms. In the restaurant, you can enjoy both regional specialties and international dishes. The family rooms (DF2, approx. 38m²) offer sufficient space and consist of a living/sleeping room with a bunk bed or a double pull-out couch as well as a separate room with a double bed.
