Location

The charming small municipality of Ramsau at the foot of the Dachstein mountain is particularly impressive due to its diverse recreational opportunities. In addition, Ramsau am Dachstein offers many regional specialties, an extensive selection of local venues, and untouched nature. The village is located just a few kilometers from Schladming. The area can also be wonderfully explored while downhill cycling on the ride down into the valley. Especially in summer, canoeing/kayaking in and around Ramsau am Dachstein is a great way to combine outdoor experiences with physical activity. The Berghotel Dachstein (altitude approx. 1800 m) is located about 9 km from the center, where there are several cafés and restaurants as well as shopping facilities. You can reach the nearest attraction (Schladming) in approx. 15 km. The picturesque swimming lake "The Beach" awaits all water lovers about 9 km away. The hotel is also the ideal starting point for hikes in the summer, as there is a hiking area right next to the property. You can reach the Dachstein Glacier cable car in just about 200 m.
Especially in winter: Look forward to pure skiing fun, cross-country skiing tours in winter landscapes, and extended winter hikes. A ski bus operates between Ramsau and Schladming (according to the local schedule, potentially for a fee). The ski bus stop is located right at the hotel. The Schladming ski area is about 15 km away. The total cross-country trail length is about 29 km, and the nearest trail (altitude training trail) is about 9 km away. For those who want to enjoy the scenic beauty of the region on cozy winter hikes, there are hiking trails with a total length of approx. 5 km available right at the hotel.

Amenities

The 3-star Berghotel Dachstein consists of a main building and an annex, which are approx. 20 m apart, and has a total of 30 units and a reception. Delicious meals and refreshing drinks are served in the restaurant, the small parlor (Stüberl), and at the hotel bar; the restaurant is closed from 10 am to 2 pm. The terrace by the garden is a popular spot to relax and soak up the sun. Wi-Fi is available to guests in the restaurant area.
