Location

With a quiet location on the edge of the forest and panoramic views of the Lienz Dolomites and the town of Lienz, Sporthotel Hochlienz is ideal for a stay in the Austrian mountain landscape. The Zettersfeld sunny plateau, located at 1850 m in a vast hiking and skiing area on the south side of the Tauern Alps, offers ideal conditions for a relaxing yet active holiday. A chairlift and cable car are located in the immediate vicinity (approx. 100m), and the provincial capital Lienz with its numerous shops and restaurants is about 12 km away. In summer, a trip to Lake Tristach (approx. 16 km) is also worthwhile.
Especially in winter:
Directly in the ski area at 1840m with panoramic views of the Lienz Dolomites. Ski-in/ski-out is possible. The center of Lienz with restaurants and shops is approx. 12 km away. The "Steinermandl" ski lift is approx. 60 m away, ski rental and ski school (lunch supervision offered) with ski kindergarten approx. 80 m away. Winter hiking trails start from the hotel.

Facilities

The accommodation combines traditional rooms with modern amenities and offers a total of 64 rooms and apartments. A reception area, a restaurant with a wide culinary selection, a cozy lounge with a fireplace, as well as a hotel bar and café terrace are also available. An extensive garden with sun loungers and umbrellas invites you to relax. Wi-Fi is included throughout the hotel and in the Alm Village. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the ski storage room and ski boot dryer, as well as the hotel's indoor pool with massage facilities.

Double Room

The cozy and traditional rooms are located in the hotel building and feature a shower, toilet, safe, radio, hairdryer, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (free of charge), and telephone, as well as a double bed and an additional extra bed (approx. 21m², D).

Single Room

The smaller rooms are also located in the hotel, similarly equipped to the double rooms, and can be booked for single/child occupancy (approx. 18m², E).

Family Room

The spacious family rooms are designed for 2-4 people and feature a double bed, sofa bed, and extra bed (depending on occupancy) with a balcony or terrace (approx. 23m², DF2).

Apartment

2-room apartment for 2-4 people. The large apartments, furnished with wooden elements, offer a bedroom with a double bed and a living/sleeping area with a double sofa bed or bunk bed, a small hallway, and a balcony or terrace (approx. 35m², A1T).

Alm Village Apartment

The 2-room Alm apartments are located in the Alm Village, which is about 80-100 m from the hotel, and offer a living area with a sofa bed, a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed visually separated by a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, and a terrace on the ground floor (approx. 55m², AP).

Seasonal information

Especially in winter:
Carrying snow chains is advisable for the drive from Lienz to the hotel! Free use of the cable car for arrival and departure (between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM) by presenting your travel voucher or documents at the lift ticket office.
Ski passes can be booked directly at the hotel reception with a 5% discount for hotel guests only.
