Location

The AlpenParks Montana Matrei is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Fertile valleys, imposing 3,000-meter peaks, stunning views, and rare flora and fauna – everything is like something out of a picture book. Hiking, bike tours, ski trips, and kayaking adventures are a must.
Regardless of your preferred activity, there is plenty to see and experience in East Tyrol. Leave the idyllic valleys and steep slopes of the Großglockner Resort ski and hiking area behind you. You will also need your hiking boots for the Virgen Valley. Then there is the starting point for the Iseltrail, right on your doorstep in the Hohe Tauern. In between, enjoy culinary delights where the rustic charm of Tyrol blends with the Mediterranean lightness of the south.
The town of Matrei in Osttirol is affectionately known as the "heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park." The Goldried gondola lift, which provides access to the Grossglockner Resort with its 16 state-of-the-art lifts up to 2,400m (with 47.1km of ski slopes, 100% snow-covered), is only approx. 500 m away, making it an optimal starting point for discoveries in and around Matrei in Osttirol. The center of Matrei, a ski and equipment rental shop, and a ski school can be reached in approx. 500 m.

The 3 Star Superior Hotel offers a total of 35 rooms. Further amenities include a lobby with reception. You can fuel up for an eventful day in the hotel's own breakfast room. For winter sports enthusiasts, the hotel provides a ski and boot drying room where sports equipment can be stored and dried after a long day on the slopes. Single room

These are double rooms for single use (E).

Double room Type A

Otherwise similar in equipment to the double rooms, these feature a Nespresso coffee machine, refrigerator, electric kettle, and a pull-out sofa (DA, approx. 48 m²).

Family room

Similarly equipped to the double room Type A, these offer an additional bunk bed alongside the double bed (DF2, approx. 48 m²).
