Location

Beach holiday on Madeira! This popular hotel is situated next to a small marina, directly on the golden sandy beach (man-made) of Calheta. A rarity on Madeira, as only a few hotels on this beautiful island can offer direct access to a sandy beach. It is about a 10-minute walk (1 km) to the town. Funchal is approx. 35 km away and Madeira's international airport is about a 40-minute drive (approx. 50 km) from the hotel. We recommend booking a rental car (EDV-Code: FNC012A) to easily explore the island.

The beach hotel features a total of 153 rooms and suites designed for your comfort, spread across two buildings and 5 floors. In addition to an entrance area with reception, Wi-Fi (included in public areas), lounges, 2 elevators, and 3 bars, the hotel offers a buffet restaurant with show cooking, an à la carte restaurant 'Onda Azul', and the 'Local Beach Restaurant'. Outside, you will find a landscaped sun terrace with a swimming pool and children's pool (umbrellas, loungers/pads, and 1 pool towel included; exchange for a fee). Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach are available for a fee.

Double Room

The approx. 22.5 m² tastefully designed double rooms (D) feature a bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, rental safe, minibar (for a fee), and a furnished balcony. Double room with sea view (DM) available for an additional charge. All double rooms are located in the main building. Bookable for a maximum of 2 adults.

Suite Superior Sea View

The Superior Suites with Sea View (SUM) are located in the main building and have the same amenities as the double rooms but are significantly more spacious (approx. 58 m²) and feature a bathroom with WC/shower and bathtub, living room with sofa bed, separate bedroom, coffee/tea maker, and a large balcony with direct sea view.

Suite

The suites (S2) have the same amenities as the double rooms but are larger and feature a living room with an open kitchenette, separate bedroom, bathroom with shower, separate WC, and balcony.
Suite with lateral sea view (MS2) or suite with sea view (S2M) are bookable for an additional charge. The suites and suites with lateral sea view are located in a separate building behind the main building (connected by a hallway).

The cozy, approx. 44 m² family suites feature a combined living and sleeping area, shower/WC, TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, rental safe, minibar (for a fee), and balcony (2FS, KFS, 3FS, KF3). Also available for an additional charge with lateral sea view (FSS) or sea view (2FM).
