Location

The Ocean Gardens hotel is situated on a mountainside above the sea, offering a magnificent view of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the city of Funchal. It is approximately a 15-minute drive to Funchal Airport. The center of Funchal can be reached in about a 10-minute drive. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service (subject to availability, Mon-Fri) between the city center and the hotel.

The tastefully furnished 4-star hotel has a total of 85 rooms. Facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour reception, an à la carte restaurant 'Montanha' (230 seats, with an outdoor smoking area), a hotel bar, a pool/snackbar "Panoramica", and a banquet hall (for events and conferences). The outdoor area (located on the 4th floor) offers a well-maintained garden with a sun terrace, swimming pool, and pool bar, as well as a fantastic view over the Atlantic Ocean.

The double rooms Bay View, with the same amenities as the double rooms, feature a bathroom with shower/WC, USB port, and harbor view as well as a view over the bay of Funchal (VDB).
Also bookable as a double room Bay View for single occupancy (V1B).

Double room Superior Bay View

The double rooms Superior Bay View have the same amenities as the double rooms Bay View, but are slightly larger and feature a panoramic balcony (SVB).

Breakfast from 7:30 AM to 10 AM, served buffet style. For half board, dinner is also served from 7 PM to 10 PM as a 3-course menu/set menu (choice of 2 starters, choice of 2 main courses - fish or meat, and choice of 2 desserts) in the à la carte restaurant 'Montanha'.
Additionally, à la carte dishes are available in the 'Montanha' à la carte restaurant from 11 AM to 10 PM (for a fee).
