Arrival by car

Directions from Funchal Airport (FNC):
Drive from the airport onto the Via Rapida (expressway) heading west towards Funchal. It takes approx. 15-20 minutes to reach the Funchal exit (No. 12). Take this exit towards Funchal. At the first traffic light after the exit, turn left, and at the very next traffic light, drive straight ahead. Continue driving downhill, go through a wide right-hand curve, and then continue straight. After a while, you will pass a gas station (on the right). You will then reach the fire station (Bombeiros) (on the right side). At the second traffic light intersection after the fire station, turn right onto Rua Joao de Deus. After approx. 100 m, the Hotel do Carmo is on the left.
