The Residence hotel is located in the western part of the Vila Porto Mare resort, comprising the hotels The Residence Porto Mare, Porto Mare and Eden Mar. The family-friendly hotel The Residence Porto Mare is separated from the sea only by a promenade. Restaurants and cafés are in the immediate vicinity and within walking distance. Funchal city centre is approx. 2.5 km away.

The Residence Porto Mare, set within 13,000 m² of gardens, impresses with a concept adapted to nature. The green of the trees, the colours of the flowers, and the scent of the spice plants. The Residence offers 99 apartments and studios, 4 restaurants: Il Basilico (Italian, à la carte), Horta (Healthy Comfort food, à la carte), Atlântida Buffet Restaurant (themed buffet), and Alfama (Mediterranean, à la carte). A total of 5 pools, including 2 outdoor pools, a children's pool, and two heated indoor pools. 3 bars: Pool bar Bar Varanda, Bar Portofino, and Bar Oceano. Additionally, there is a spa area with a sauna, steam bath, and 2 whirlpools. Sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas are included in the pool area. All facilities of the Vila Porto Mare holiday complex can be used.

Accommodation

Studio

The Studios (approx. 30-35m²) are equipped with 2 twin beds, a safe, air conditioning (hot/cold), Smart TV, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a balcony. The bathroom includes a hairdryer, bathrobe, and toiletries (S12). Also available as Studio Type O with limited availability and special pricing (STO).

Apartment

The apartments (approx. 70 m²) offer similar amenities to the studios, but feature a separate bedroom with two queen-size beds, a living area with seating, and a kitchenette (A12). Also bookable under FNCA65 (A12/A11/K1A/A13).

Breakfast: Buffet at Atlântida restaurant.
For guests with Half Board booked, dinner will also be served in buffet form at the Atlântida restaurant.
Guests can visit the following à la carte restaurants for dinner, which are not included in Half Board: "Alfama" (Mediterranean), "Il Basilico" (Italian), and the new "Horta" restaurant (healthy comfort food/Wednesday-Sunday).
