The hotel has been integrated into a pre-existing, fully restored manor house built in 1924. It is unique due to the preservation of the old building with its balconies, balustrades, and winding gabled roofs, lending the modern hotel a pleasant touch of nostalgia. The complex, consisting of the Pestana Miramar Garden & Ocean and the Pestana Village Garden Hotel (FNC199), shares a beautiful large garden, a total of 2 pools with integrated children's pools (sun loungers and umbrellas are available), 1 indoor pool and hot tub, fitness room, sauna, steam bath, and 1 games room. Further amenities include 1 main buffet restaurant, a burger restaurant, 2 bars (Pestana Village), and 2 à-la-carte restaurants as well as 2 cocktail bars (Pestana Miramar). A spacious conservatory, which forms the center of the hotel and offers guests the opportunity to relax, is set amidst a wonderful Madeiran backdrop.

The Studio Superior Miramar units are approx. 32 m² in size, located on the lower floors (basement or ground floor), and feature a bathroom with bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, a double bed or two single beds, kitchenette (with mini-fridge, pots, dishes, cutlery, and glasses), cable TV (LCD), telephone, safe for rent, air conditioning, carpet flooring, double-glazed windows, and a furnished terrace or balcony with a view of the pool or garden (US2). Family Room Superior Miramar

The Family Rooms Superior have the same amenities as the Studios Superior Miramar, but feature a bedroom, separate living room (partly only visually separated), a kitchenette, balcony, and pool/or garden view (F2U).

Suite (FNCA15)

The Suites Miramar are approx. 76 m² in size and feature a separate bedroom with a double bed or two single beds. They combine modern and classic elements, creating a unique atmosphere. Arrival by car

Directions from Funchal Airport (FNC):
Coming from the airport, take the highway heading west towards Funchal. Drive for approx. 23 km through various tunnels and follow the signs towards the hospital. Keep left and change highways at the exit. As a landmark, there is a Repsol gas station on the right side. Drive through the upcoming roundabout and leave the hospital to your right. Now go downhill until the next traffic light. Turn right over the bridge. Switch to the left lane and drive straight ahead until the next traffic light. The entrance to the Miramar Hotel will now be visible. A little further on, you will reach the Village Hotel. Continue driving straight ahead. After the bend, you will reach the hotel on the right side.
