Location

The Chapelaria Boutique Hotel (scheduled to open in Spring 2026) is located in the heart of the old town, in one of Funchal's most charming and historic districts. A wide variety of shops, bars, and traditional restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Nevertheless, the small boutique hotel is slightly set back from the hustle and bustle, offering an oasis of tranquility amidst the lively atmosphere of the old town. The port of Funchal is approx. 350m away. Funchal Airport is approx. 28 km away.

Facilities

The hotel is housed in a historic building with unique elements of traditional Madeiran architecture. It offers a total of 15 rooms, a reception (open from 9 am to 6 pm), a traditional souvenir shop with local handicrafts, and a breakfast room with a small bar.

Double Room

The modernly furnished double rooms have twin beds that can be combined into a double bed, a bathroom/WC with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, telephone, safety deposit box (rental fee), satellite TV, air conditioning, and a coffee/tea maker (D). Also bookable for single occupancy (DE).

With the same amenities as the double rooms, but with twin beds and a furnished balcony (DBK). Also bookable for single occupancy (DEK).

Premium Double Room with Balcony

The Premium Double Rooms are more spacious than the double rooms, with the same amenities (PDZ). Also bookable for single occupancy (PEZ).

Every year, the famous FLOWER FESTIVAL takes place in Madeira - the "Festa da Flor". Admire the elaborately decorated floats and let yourself be carried away by the joy of life.
