Fantastic location in the southwest of Madeira, situated just 535 m above the Atlantic Ocean with a magnificent view of the mountains and the coast. The small town of Prazeres is about 1.5 km away. The nature reserve, located approx. 2 km away, is ideal for walks and hikes. The nearest sandy beach is in Calheta, approx. 8 km away (1x per week shuttle bus, upon request, subject to availability, limited capacity, for a fee). The fishing village of Jardim do Mar can be reached after about 5 km, Paul do Mar after about 7 km, and Funchal after about 36 km (1x per week shuttle bus, upon request, subject to availability, limited capacity, for a fee). Funchal International Airport is approx. 57 km away.

The multi-award-winning 4-star eco-hotel has a total of 99 rooms/units, spread across the main building (with elevator) and the annex building built terraced into the hillside (without elevator). The complex offers a lobby with 24-hour reception in the main building, buffet restaurant, fireplace room, lounge, bar, internet corner (included), games room, approx. 20,000 m² outdoor area with garden, sun terrace, swimming pool (freshwater, unheated), sunbathing area, nudist area, and pool/snack bar. Sun loungers and parasols are available to hotel guests at the pool area free of charge.

The friendly furnished studios are located in the main or annex building, are approx. 50 m² in size, and feature a combined living/sleeping area with a sofa bed, bath/WC, hairdryer, kitchenette (with 2 hot plates, refrigerator, coffee machine), heating, telephone, cable TV (32-inch), safe (for rent), and a furnished balcony or terrace with sea view. Also bookable as Studio Sea View for single use.

Apartment Sea View (1 Bedroom)

The Sea View apartments are located in the annex building, are approx. 70 m² in size, and feature the same amenities as the Sea View studios, but with a living/sleeping area with sofa bed and a separate bedroom, as well as a separate kitchen (with 4 hot plates, refrigerator, coffee machine, dishwasher, and oven).

Apartment Sea View (2 Bedrooms)

Same amenities as the Sea View apartments, but with 2 separate bedrooms (approx. 80 m² in size).

Bungalow Sea View (1 Bedroom)

The bungalows are located in the lower part of the complex, in the 1st row, and offer an unobstructed view of the sea. At approx. 77 m², they are larger than the apartments and feature a living/sleeping room with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom, a separate kitchen (with 4 hot plates, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine, and microwave), as well as a large terrace (partially glazed) with a direct view of the sea.

Arrival by car

Directions from Funchal Airport (FNC):
From the airport, take the expressway towards Funchal/Ribeira Brava. Drive through Funchal until you reach the end (roundabout) towards "Ribeira Brava/Ponta do Sol". At the roundabout in "Ribeira Brava", turn right into the tunnel towards "Ponta do Sol", where you will pass the marina of "Lugar de Baixo". At the roundabout of "Ponta do Sol", enter the tunnel towards "Madalena do Mar". At the end of the tunnel, drive right through "Calheta" along the coastal road. At the end of the coastal road, drive towards "Arco da Calheta" for approx. 3 km (tunnel).
At the following roundabout, continue towards Calheta/Prazeres (10 km) and always follow the signs for "PRAZERES". At the roundabout in Prazeres, turn towards "Lombo da Rocha-Prazeres" where you will see the signpost for the hotel (at the intersection, turn left and drive 700 m to the hotel).
