The Iberostar Waves Royal Andalus is located directly on an 8 km long, gently sloping, fine sandy dune beach. A small shopping center with restaurants and bars is approx. 400 m away. A local bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel. Jerez de la Frontera Airport is approx. 65 km away and Seville Airport is approx. 165 km away.

The 4-star premium hotel of the Iberostar hotel group has a total of 451 rooms spread over 3 floors. Facilities include a lobby with a reception, several elevators, free premium Wi-Fi, a pool bar (open only in high season), a buffet restaurant with show cooking ('Iberostarchef'), an à la carte restaurant (for a fee, open only in high season), and a lobby bar. The extensive garden area features two swimming pools (freshwater) with three separate children's pools (the pools are open during the high season from May to September/October) and a sun terrace with complimentary sun loungers and parasols (only in the summer season and not in the "Plaza" zone). Pool towels are available for a deposit.

The spacious and comfortably furnished double rooms (approx. 26 m²) feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, safe (for a fee), satellite TV, empty minibar, air conditioning/heating (seasonal), premium Wi-Fi (included), and a balcony or terrace. (D,DA) Double rooms with garden view (2GD,DGI), double rooms with lateral sea view (DMS,IDS), or double rooms with sea view (DM,DMA) are bookable for an extra charge. From Summer 25, there are double rooms with lateral sea view and connecting door. These have a minimum occupancy of 4 full-paying guests (AMS,AQ2).

Single room

Single rooms are double rooms for single occupancy. (DE,DEA)
Double rooms with lateral sea view (DES,EIA) or direct sea view (DEM,AME) for single occupancy are bookable for an extra charge.

Family room lateral sea view

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the family rooms (approx. 45 m²) with lateral sea view feature a separate bedroom (the living room has a bunk bed) and lateral sea view. (FS2,F2A) Maximum occupancy: 5 people!

Junior suite sea view

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the junior suites (approx. 37 m²) have a sea view and are slightly more spacious with a shower in the bathroom (J2M,JMA). Also bookable as a beachfront junior suite with sea view for an extra charge (JB2/AJB).

Suite sea view beachfront

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the suites (approx. 52 m²) feature a bathtub and a shower in the bathroom and a separate bedroom (F2W/BFA). Also bookable as a suite with lateral sea view (2SS/AS2).

Super saver room

Super saver rooms are the same as double rooms but have limited availability.
(Additionally bookable under XRYA02 as super saver room type B (SZB).)

DR sea view priority location

Priority location rooms with sea view have the same facilities as the double rooms (approx. 26 m²), are in a preferred location on the 1st and 2nd floor, and have a sea view (2PY,2AY).

schauinsland-reisen original: The family rooms with lateral sea view Deluxe have the same facilities as the family rooms with lateral sea view and are perfect for families due to additional amenities. Additional facilities: bed safety rail, step stool, bottle warmer, family welcome gift and play area (board for playing and drawing), as well as bathrobes and slippers for adults.

DR sea view beachfront

The beachfront rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms (approx. 26 m², BF2/BAD). These rooms are located in the front part of the hotel directly by the beach. They are located on the ground floor with beach access or on the 1st floor.

Family room with connecting door (XRYA02)

These family rooms (approx. 52 m²) have the same facilities as the double rooms, only they have 2 separate bedrooms with a connecting door, 2 bathrooms, and a terrace with lateral sea view (Y2F/YK6).

Arrival by car

Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport grounds and drive onto the N-340 towards Cádiz, follow this road for approx. 1.5 km to the highway exit A-7 Algeciras/Cádiz. Behind the village of Benalmádena, the highway splits into four lanes; please merge into the right lane to stay on the A-7. Or take the AP-7, which is a toll road and also leads in the same direction. Always follow the signs for Algeciras. Upon arriving in Algeciras (approx. 120 km from Málaga Airport), the highway ends and automatically becomes a country road (N-340 Cádiz). Now always follow this coastal road towards Cádiz. Drive past Tarifa, then later past Vejer de la Frontera and Conil de la Frontera until you see the exit "Playa la Barrosa" behind Conil. Leave the N-340 country road there and drive towards "Playa la Barrosa". This road leads you to the hotel zone Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa. There you will find all hotels on the coastal road. Heading south, you will reach the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andalus and Iberostar Andalucía Playa (both hotels share the same entrance).
Directions from Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY):
Leave the airport grounds and drive onto the A-4 towards Jerez de la Frontera/Cádiz (please use the bridge). Drive through the city of Jerez and shortly after seeing a hospital on the right side, this road becomes a 4-lane expressway (A-4 towards Cádiz/Algeciras). Subsequently, this automatically becomes a 2-lane main road again. Drive straight ahead (A-4 Cádiz/Algeciras). At the end of this road, there is a sharp right turn that you must automatically take. This curve is also a highway entrance (towards Algeciras A 48/E-15). Please follow the highway to Chiclana. At the exit "La Barrosa", leave the highway and drive left at the roundabout towards "La Barrosa". This road leads you to the hotel zone Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa. There you will find all hotels on the coastal road. Heading south, you will reach the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andalus and Iberostar Andalucía Playa (both hotels share the same entrance).
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
Leave the airport grounds and drive towards Cádiz A4 and reach the AP4 (toll fee). After approx. 80 km, the AP4 passes Jerez, and after another 30 km, you will see the exit "San Fernando/Algeciras". Here you leave the highway, reach a roundabout, and continue to follow the direction signs "Algeciras/A4". You are now on the national road A4, drive past the cities "San Fernando" and "Chiclana", and leave the A4 at the exit "Playa La Barrosa". From here, please follow the signs for "La Barrosa". After approx. 10 km, you will reach the hotel zone Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa. There you will find all hotels on the coastal road. Heading south, you will reach the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andalus and Iberostar Andalucía Playa (both hotels share the same entrance). Travel time approx. 50 min.
