Location

The Gran Hotel Costa del Sol is located directly on the coarse-grained sandy beach (direct access from the hotel to the beach) of La Cala de Mijas. In the surrounding area, you will find entertainment options, bars, and restaurants; the center of Mijas is approximately 500m away. The neighboring town of Fuengirola is about 8 km away, and the center of Marbella can be reached in approximately 20 km. Malaga Airport is located about 33 km away.

The internationally popular 4-star hotel has a total of 300 rooms spread over 6 floors. Facilities include a reception with a lobby, a conference room, the buffet restaurant "Miró," and the "El Zurbarán" bar with a lounge. In the beautifully designed outdoor area and directly by the beach, you will find the pool area (freshwater) and a sun terrace, a chill-out terrace (open during the summer season), and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are available at the pool; beach towels are available for a deposit.

Accommodation

Comfort Double Room with side sea view

The tastefully furnished and renovated double rooms are approx. 24 m² and feature a bath/WC, hairdryer, two single beds (twin), air conditioning/heating (seasonal), telephone, rental safe, mini-fridge, satellite TV (flat screen), Wi-Fi (included), and a balcony or terrace with a side sea view (DMS). Also bookable as Comfort Double Room with side sea view for single occupancy (DES) and as Comfort with side sea view Type A (CSA) at a special price with limited availability. Starting winter 2026, also bookable as Comfort Double Economy Room (RX2). These rooms have the same facilities as the Comfort Double Rooms with side sea view but are located exclusively on the first floor.

Family Room

The family rooms have the same equipment as the double rooms, but feature two double beds (135 cm) and are designed for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children (DF2).

Comfort Premium Double Room with side sea view

The Comfort Premium Double Rooms with side sea view have the same facilities as the Comfort Double Rooms but are located on the 4th–6th floors and additionally offer a selection of bathroom amenities, bathrobes, and side sea views (PSM). Also bookable for single occupancy (PES).

With otherwise similar facilities to the Comfort Double Rooms with side sea view, these do not offer a specific view (DKO/DA/DKA/DKE/DEA/DRA).

Arrival by car

Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP): N340/A7 towards Cádiz; after a few hundred meters, continue on the A7 towards Cadiz/Algeciras. Do not take the toll motorway AP7, which also runs parallel in the same direction. Then take the exit CALA DE MIJAS. At the roundabout, go left under the bridge, then take the first right to the next roundabout; at the roundabout, go left (the opposite way), take the first street right, then the first street right again, and finally the second street left to reach the GRAN HOTEL COSTA DEL SOL. ********************************************************************************
