It is also an institution dedicated to developing projects for the conservation, education, and research of flora and fauna, such as projects involving the Cuvier's gazelle, the African elephant, and the Canarian camel. Thanks to the latter project, the park houses Europe's largest camel reserve and conducts research into the health benefits of camel milk for humans.

The park is open year-round and offers several restaurants, a children's play area, and a petting farm. A shuttle service is also available (€6.50 per person, pick-up times are provided from your hotel, with return trips at 16:30 and 17:30). The distance from each hotel/resort is between 6-30 km (15-30 minutes driving time).
