Location

The Hotel El Medano is located in the small town of El Medano and is situated directly on the beach. In the town center, you will find several shops, bars, and restaurants with typical Canarian cuisine. The beautiful swimming bay is also in the immediate vicinity.

The cozy hotel has 91 rooms spread over 5 floors. Amenities include a 24-hour reception, elevators, a lounge, a panoramic breakfast buffet with international cuisine, a TV room, and an à la carte restaurant with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the well-known "Montana Roja". The large terrace offers direct access to the sea. Outside, you will find several sun terraces with complimentary loungers and parasols. High-speed Wi-Fi is included. Bath towels are provided free of charge.

Double room sea view without balcony (approx. 22 m²)

The friendly furnished rooms, renovated in 2023-2024, are equipped with a bathroom/WC with a shower, high-quality mattresses, and a small pillow menu (2 pillows per person with different firmness levels), telephone, rental safe, mini-fridge (incl. water upon arrival), kettle with coffee and tea upon arrival, 43" Smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi (incl.), ceiling fan, premium quality mattresses and pillows, as well as sea view (DM).
Also available for single use (DEM).

Double room sea view balcony

Same facilities as the double room sea view, but with balcony (2MB). Also bookable as type I with limited availability (DMI) or for single use (1MD).

Double room Deluxe sea view (approx. 19 m²)

With the same facilities as the double room sea view balcony, but slightly smaller, with higher-quality decor, extra-large mirror, bathroom with an extra-large sink, and a balcony with sea view towards the beach side (DDM).
Also bookable for single use (DM1).

Double room Superior sea view

Completely renovated and with the same facilities as the double room Deluxe, these rooms are slightly larger and offer a better location in the hotel.
Additional amenities include a kettle with coffee and tea (daily refill), daily turndown service, larger TV, and bathrobes.
The balcony faces either the beach side (larger balcony and loungers) or the Atlantic Ocean (DMU).
Note: The design varies between the rooms.

Double room sea view balcony upper floor

Schauinsland-Reisen-Original:
Completely renovated rooms (2023-2024) with sea view and balcony, located on the upper floors (UPS). Also bookable for single use (UPE).

Extensive breakfast buffet.
Dinner is offered as a "Dine-Around" concept (from 6 pm to 9 pm), where guests can have dinner at various restaurants within the town of El Médano. Guests can choose from a selection of curated menus/dishes (depending on the restaurant).
Additionally, the hotel's own restaurant "Costa Roja" (7 pm to 10 pm/closed Monday + Tuesday) is available. It offers varied dishes with fresh, local, and high-quality products. The dishes are served on the ground floor right by the sea – with lovely, elegant decor. (Reservation of all restaurants required at the reception).
