Inside cabin

The modern and functional inside cabins on the Costa Smeralda offer a comfortable setting for relaxing days at sea. Features include air conditioning, interactive satellite TV (pay-TV for a fee), bathroom with shower and WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (for a fee) and Wi-Fi (for a fee).
Measuring approx. 13 m², the inside cabins can accommodate up to four people. Depending on cabin location and category, some feature separate beds. The well-thought-out design ensures a pleasant atmosphere and high living comfort throughout the entire cruise.

Outside cabin

The outside cabins on the Costa Smeralda have a large window or, in some cases, portholes and offer a beautiful sea view. Measuring approx. 20 m², the ocean view cabins can accommodate 2 to 4 people (some with separate beds). Features include air conditioning, satellite TV, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, safe as well as a minibar and Wi-Fi for a fee. The well-thought-out design and spacious feeling make the outside cabin a comfortable retreat during the cruise.

Balcony cabin

The balcony cabins on the Costa Smeralda combine modern living comfort with a private outdoor area and a magnificent view of the sea. The private balcony invites you to enjoy the fresh sea air and impressive views in a relaxed atmosphere.
The cabins are approx. 17 m² in size (plus balcony) and can accommodate 2 to 4 people. Features include air conditioning, satellite TV, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, safe as well as a minibar and Wi-Fi for a fee. Some cabins are equipped with separate beds.

Meals

Full board

On board, a total of 11 restaurants provide culinary variety with specialties from all over the world. These include, among others, a buffet restaurant, the "Pummid’Oro" pizzeria, the Teppanyaki restaurant, the family restaurant "Tutti a Tavola" as well as the "Laboratorio del Gusto," where selected dishes can be prepared by oneself (partially for a fee and by reservation). The dining times in the main restaurants are set by Costa.
The gastronomic offer is complemented by 19 bars and cafés (for a fee), including the Spazio Bollicine by Ferrari Spumante, the Aperol Spritz Bar, the Campari Bar, the Sports Bar, the Bacaro Veneziano, the Nutella Café as well as two Amarillo ice cream parlors. Thus, the Costa Smeralda offers varied culinary highlights for every taste.

In addition to the full board services, the MyItalian indulgence package can be booked. This includes a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for any time of the day. These include, among others, cocktails such as Aperol Spritz, Campari Spritz, Negroni and Martini cocktails, high-quality coffee specialties from Caffè Vergnano as well as beer, soft drinks and mineral water.
Also included are selected liqueurs, brandies and bitters, including Limoncello, Grappa, Averna and Ramazzotti, as well as Italian red, rosé and white wines, Prosecco and Spumante. For additional sports activities, various classes such as yoga, Pilates and Kinesis are available in the aerobic studio (for a fee). Furthermore, individual training sessions with professional supervision can be booked in the fitness center (for a fee). Children's program

For children and teenagers, the Costa Smeralda offers a varied and age-appropriate leisure program in the popular Squok Kids Club. While the youngest guests can let off steam in the Mini Club (3–6 years) with games and creative activities, the Maxi Club (7–11 years) offers a diverse entertainment and activity program.
For teenagers, the Teen Junior Club (12–14 years) and the Teen Club (15–17 years) are available with age-appropriate activities, games and meeting points. This provides young guests with the best conditions to make new friends and spend varied holiday days.

Location

The renovated Alua Tenerife Hotel is located in Puerto de la Cruz. The town center is approximately 1 km away and the volcanic sand beach Playa Jardin, a work by the artist Cesar Manriques, is about 2 minutes' walk (approx. 150m) away. Tenerife North Airport is approximately 25 km away and Reina Sofia Airport is approx. 80 km away.
You can reach the world-famous Loro Parque in about 10 minutes on foot.

Accommodation features

The extensively renovated family hotel features 424 rooms on 5 floors, which are accessible via 6 elevators. In addition, the building has a panoramic elevator that goes to the top floor, where there is a terrace with an impressive view of the city and coast. The hotel also features a reception and 2 conference rooms. The hotel has a very beautiful and spacious pool area with 2 outdoor pools (one heated), of which 1 is a children's pool (sun loungers and umbrellas included), a heated indoor pool (for a fee), pool towels (for a deposit) and a children's playground.
