Location

The beautiful small resort of the renowned Viva-Wyndham chain is located in the northwest of Playa Dorada and is a few minutes' walk from the gently sloping sandy beach of Puerto Plata. The airport is approx. 16 km away.

The resort consists of 190 rooms and is built in Caribbean style. The hotel has a modern reception, a souvenir shop, a buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch, 4 à la carte restaurants (Fusion, Italian, Mexican, and Dominican cuisine) and a snack bar. The fantastic swimming pool landscape includes an integrated whirlpool and a sun terrace. Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort. Sun loungers and beach towels are included.

Double Superior "Nirvana"

The rooms have a bathroom, shower/WC, air conditioning, hairdryer, coffee maker, TV, telephone, 1 king-size bed or 2 queen beds, and a balcony (DSU).

Junior Suite "Amnesia"

The Junior Suites are larger than the Double Superior rooms and offer an additional living area with a sofa in the room (JS2).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning 2 people per bed, even if rollaway beds are listed on the confirmation!

During stays between April and December, increased amounts of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, increased amounts of brown algae are often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
