Veranda cabin

The veranda cabins offer a sense of freedom right outside the cabin door. With 16–20 m² of interior space and a generous exterior area of 4–16 m², a harmonious mix of living comfort and fresh sea air is created. A private veranda with a hammock, flexible sleeping options, and a modern bathroom with shower turn this area into a personal favorite spot – ideal for letting your mind wander.

You can choose between Veranda comfort, balcony, ocean view, or inside cabin. The exact cabin and deck assignment is handled by AIDA Cruises. This can also include barrier-free cabins, cabins with separate beds, restricted views, or connecting doors. Special cabin requests cannot be taken into account; subsequent rebookings or changes are excluded.

Booking for children under 2 years
Booking can only be made on request. Initially, an option without an infant is created. Please note: the maximum occupancy in all cabin categories is 4 people incl. baby. Subsequently, a binding inquiry with all required data is sent via e-mail. If no option is available, a booking request via e-mail is recommended.

The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach of Playa Bavaro. Restaurants, bars, and various shopping and entertainment options are in the vicinity. The international airport of Punta Cana is only 25 km away.

Completely renovated in winter 19/20, the Iberostar Selection Bavaro consists of a total of 598 rooms that leave nothing to be desired. They are spread across several two-story bungalows within the tropically landscaped hotel grounds. Furthermore, the hotel features a lobby with reception, buffet restaurant, 6 à-la-carte restaurants (Greek, gourmet restaurant, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, and steakhouse), beach restaurant, 5 bars, swim-up bar, garden area with lagoon-style pool landscape, sun terrace, and snack bar.

The junior suites feature a sleeping and living area with sofa bed, coffee/tea maker, minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, Wi-Fi (incl.), telephone, bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, and balcony or terrace (JS2/JS1/KJ1/KJ2). Also bookable as Oceanfront junior suite (2JO) and in winter as a super-saver room (SSZ/SSE).

Junior suite Tropical View

With the same equipment and size as the junior suites, these are located closer to the sea and also offer turn-down service (1x per stay), garden or pool view (PTZ). Also bookable closer to the pool as Junior suite Near Pool (NPS). Also bookable closer to the beach as Junior suite Near Beach (JNB) or in the first beach row with sea view as Junior suite Ocean Front (2JO).

Family suite

With the same equipment and size as the junior suites, these consist of two junior suites with a connecting door (2FS/KF3/KF5/KF6).

Spa junior suite

With the same equipment and size as the junior suites with king-size bed or two double beds, tea set, bathrobes (J2F).

With the same equipment as the junior suite, these rooms feature a terrace and are located in direct proximity to the pool (no private pool, no sharing pool) (2YZ).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2 m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no additional beds are placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Junior suite Pool Access Terrace (PUJ192I)

Equipped similarly to the Junior suites Pool Access, these junior suites are located directly by the pool, which can be reached via the terrace (no private pool, no sharing pool, JRT). Alternatively also bookable for single occupancy (T1D).

Zusatzhinweis

Features the Winnow system to reduce food waste, 3R devices for
waste management in the hotels, and installed drinking water fountains.
Guests staying in the Bávaro complex can visit the Coral Lab to see corals and learn more about them. Thanks to the two coral nurseries in front of the hotel, where we work with our scientific team to restore the reefs.
The hotel has its own composting plant. Organic waste is turned into compost that we can use for our gardens.
We are part of the country's national mangrove restoration program, and in the
Bávaro complex, we have planted more than 19,000 mangroves donated by the Ministry of Environment.
Beehives are rescued and brought to the apiary that we have in the complex, which can be visited by all guests.
In cooperation with the National Aquarium, the Institute for Environmental Law of the
Dominican Republic, and the Blue Flag program, the National Aquarium rescues turtles. Once they have reached an appropriate size and health, they are released on the beaches of the Iberostar hotels.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased incidence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently recorded during this time. The beach and the sea are affected during this period. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which causes a slight background noise.
