Location

The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach "Playa Bávaro". In front of the more than 3 km long beach, a natural swimming pool with turquoise water extends to the sea, enclosed by a coral reef, where a fantastic underwater world can be discovered.

The facility "Barcelo Bavaro Beach," designed for adults with 589 rooms, consists of 6 buildings, built in Caribbean style, and is part of the overall Barcelo Bavaro Grand Resort complex. The reception is located at the entrance area. Shops, disco, hairdresser, pharmacy, and casino are spread across the hotel complex. The facility has two buffet restaurants "Caribe" and "La Brisa," two à la carte restaurants (international & Mediterranean cuisine) and 2 bars. A selection of restaurants and bars at Barcelo Bavaro Palace are also available to guests. The extensive pool landscape includes an integrated whirlpool and sun terraces. As part of the "Barceló All Inclusive" program, guests of Barceló Bavaro Beach can also use the buffet and 2 à la carte restaurants, bars, and pools of Barcelo Bavaro Palace.

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For double occupancy with 1/2 children or 3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

A bracelet is required to use the All Inclusive services. In cases of low hotel occupancy, there may be exceptions to restaurant opening hours (main restaurant excluded).
The hotel can only be booked for guests aged 18 and over.
Only guests aged 18 and over have access to the Barceló Bavaro Palace facilities (selected specialty restaurants available for a small surcharge).
In the Dominican Republic, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, brown algae are often found more frequently in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. Hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can generate some noise.
