Hotelhinweis

Facilities at the Bahia Principe Grand Coba can be shared (excluding buffet restaurants).
In Mexico, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools may be integrated openly in the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

Zusatzhinweis

As of now, hotels in Mexico are gradually introducing an "Eco-Tax".
Consequently, every guest in a hotel room in Mexico is required to pay a state-levied fee in cash at the hotel upon arrival, similar to a local tourism tax.
**************************************
A tourism tax was implemented on 04/01/2021 and is currently a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.
The tax can be paid electronically before departure via the following link: http://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/
Alternatively, the tax can be paid in cash upon entry at the airport. It is recommended to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.
*********************
In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room. This means the occupancy is 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!
In the "Long-haul" catalog 2025/26 on page 51.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may be punishable by fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently recorded during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the local municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate machinery is necessary for this, which causes a slight background noise.
