The hotel is located north of Cancun, 35 km from Cancun International Airport, just 20 minutes from the city center, and only minutes from the Punta Sam ferry terminal. Costa Mujeres is known for its turquoise, calm waters and white sandy beaches.

This luxury hotel, newly opened in 2019, features 570 rooms. Facilities include 12 bars (including 6 swim-up bars, a sports bar, beach bar, and sky bar), 7 restaurants (main restaurant, beach restaurant, Japanese, gourmet, Italian, steakhouse, and Mexican), 12 pools (including a pool with a children's section, 7 pools exclusively for Elegance Club guests, and 8 pools heated during winter), 8 outdoor hot tubs integrated into the pools, a theater, a large adults-only area. Umbrellas, sun loungers, and bath towels are included at the pool and beach.

Accommodation

Junior Suite with Jacuzzi

The junior suites (58 m²) are located in the Family Section and feature 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, an open-plan bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower/WC, bathrobes/slippers, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, air conditioning, smart TV, safe, coffee machine, minibar (replenished daily with water, soft drinks, beer, and snacks), as well as a balcony with an outdoor Jacuzzi. They offer garden or pool views and are located on the 2nd–4th floors (2JZ/1JZ).

Junior Suite Elegance Club

With the same facilities as the junior suite, these rooms are located in the Elegance Club (Adults Only) and additionally feature a private beach & pool area, personalized check-in area, butler service, two exclusive lounges with the option for a la carte breakfast and lunch, 1 bottle of champagne upon arrival, premium coffee machine, and an upgraded minibar (spirits once per stay). Guests can use all facilities of the Family Section (JE2).

Majestic Junior Suite

With the same facilities as the junior suite but larger (67 m²), these feature a terrace with 2 sun loungers and direct pool access (MJ2). Also bookable in the Elegance Club (MJE).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

One Bedroom Suite

With the same facilities and location as the junior suite, but larger (78 m²) and additionally featuring a separate living room. (Bookable in the Elegance Club (Adults Only) under the code EQW or in the Family Section under the code S2.)

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children or 3 adults, no extra beds are provided in the room; meaning occupancy: 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet style. Dinner optionally unlimited in the à la carte restaurants (reservations required for Gourmet (18+) and Japanese). Various snacks during the day. Sports included

Modern air-conditioned fitness center, water sports such as snorkeling equipment, introductory scuba diving in the pool, windsurfing, catamaran.

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seagrass and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently observed during this time. This may affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities strive to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which may cause a slight background noise.
