Location

The luxurious hotel is located directly on the beautiful sandy beach, near the original fishing village of Puerto Morelos, away from all the hustle and bustle on the north coast of the Riviera Maya. The hotel is only approx. 20 km from Cancun Airport and is located approx. 36 km south of the well-known tourist center Playa del Carmen.

Facilities

The Dreams Jade Riviera Cancun hotel is an exclusive 5-star resort with a total of 550 spacious rooms. The modern designed complex has a buffet restaurant and 6 à la carte restaurants (no prior reservation required, Asian, Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean and French (ages 18+)), a bistro, a cafe, 6 bars, a fully equipped spa area (for a fee), shops, a theater and a conference center. In the beautifully designed, palm-lined outdoor area, there is a generously sized pool landscape with an infinity pool as well as an adults' pool and a children's pool (all heated).

Junior Suite

The 65 m² junior suites have a balcony and are modernly equipped with a telephone, plasma cable TV, Wi-Fi (for a fee), iron/ironing board, bathrobes and slippers, electronic safe (included) and minibar (included and replenished daily with beer, water, and soft drinks). The very spacious bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet, whirlpool, and hairdryer. Also bookable with tropical view or ocean view for an additional charge.

The following additional amenities for guests: Check-in and check-out with concierge service (late check-out subject to availability and for a fee), living room, bathroom with double sink and rain shower, preferred status and amenities, lounge, private areas throughout the resort, upgraded amenities, bathrobes and slippers, pillow menu, free internet access, room service menu, daily continental breakfast in the lounge, and free newspaper in the room every day (English and Spanish).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). If occupied by 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if rollaway beds are listed on the confirmation!

In Mexico, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
From now on, hotels in Mexico will gradually introduce an "Eco-Tax".
This means that every user of a hotel room in Mexico is obliged to pay a fee to the state locally at the hotel in cash, similar to a tourist tax.

As of April 1, 2021, a tourism tax came into force and currently amounts to a one-time payment of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

No Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal Note

During stays between April and December, there may be increased occurrences of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are of course making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local authorities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can cause some noise.
