Location

Freshly renovated and reopened in 2026, the SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort is located in the north of Hurghada directly on the beach. The spacious and wide beach area, which features its own jetty, invites guests to relax and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is approximately 25 kilometers away, and the center of Hurghada is about 16 kilometers away.

This schauinsland-reisen Original hotel was extensively renovated in the winter of 2025/2026 and now shines with new splendor in a prime beachfront location in Hurghada. The resort features a total of 569 rooms distributed across various building areas, including newly built and popular swim-up rooms. The property offers guests 5 different pools distributed throughout the resort down to the beach. One of the pools is heated during the winter months, and one pool is exclusively for adults aged 16 and over. Additionally, the resort offers three children's pools, all of which are heated. Nestled within the grounds, a spacious aqua park offers water fun for all ages: ten different slides ensure daily sliding fun, with six additional slides specifically for younger guests in the children's area. Culinary experiences are provided by a total of 6 restaurants on-site (one of which is available for an extra charge) as well as three additional à la carte restaurants located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort, which can be used free of charge. A selection of eight different bars (one of which is available for an extra charge, and one of which is exclusively for guests 16 and over) is available throughout the day. Sun loungers, towels, and sun umbrellas are available to guests free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The pleasantly furnished rooms (DSB, approx. 32m²) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (extra charge), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and a balcony or terrace.
Also available with garden or pool view (DSU), pool view or side sea view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or direct sea view (DMU).

Family Suite Side Sea View/Sea View

The family suites (F2M, 50m²) are equipped like the superior rooms but consist of two separate bedrooms—one room with a double bed, one room with two single beds. The rooms feature a terrace or balcony with a side or direct sea view.

Family Suite Swim Up

With the same equipment as the Sea View family suite, these rooms (FSU, approx. 48m²) feature access to a sharing pool.
Please note that your booked room includes access to a sharing pool, and there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty there. If traveling with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for their supervision yourself.

Superior Double Room Swim Up

With the same equipment as the Superior double rooms, these rooms (DWU) are 44m² in size and feature a terrace with access to a sharing pool.
Also bookable for single use (WU1).
Please note that your booked room includes access to a sharing pool, and there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty there. If traveling with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for their supervision yourself.

Deluxe Double Room Pool View

These rooms (DPB) are slightly more spacious (approx. 35m²) with similar features to the Superior double rooms and offer a pool view.
Also bookable for single use (DPE).

Family Jacuzzi Suite

The spacious Family Jacuzzi Suite (FJZ) with sea view offers plenty of space for the whole family (approx. 80m²) with two separate bedrooms (1 queen-size bed and 1 twin-bedroom). Features include a seating area, walk-in closet, bathroom with walk-in shower, and a balcony with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. Furthermore, the suite is equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, hairdryer, iron, and HD/LED TV.

Junior Jacuzzi Suite

The spacious Junior Jacuzzi Suite (JJ2) with sea view offers a stylish ambiance for relaxing vacation days (approx. 80m²). Equipped with a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a cozy seating area, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, it ensures a high level of comfort. A special highlight is the terrace with a private outdoor Jacuzzi. Further amenities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, hairdryer, iron, and an HD/LED TV.

Meals

All Inclusive

The holiday resort has six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a midnight snack; Basilico for buffet breakfast and dinner, and à la carte in the evening; Manzoku for Asian cuisine in the evening (à la carte); Manohar for Indian cuisine in the evening (à la carte); Yades for Greek cuisine for lunch and dinner (à la carte); and Felucca for seafood in the evening (à la carte). The à la carte restaurants must be reserved on-site; the Felucca restaurant is available for an extra charge.
Furthermore, the following three à la carte restaurants in the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" are available for dinner upon reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), and Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available in the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) as well as at the Burger Boulevard from 10 am to 6 pm.
Eight different bars, two of which are for guests aged 16 and over and one of which is available for an extra charge, are open at various times, some of them around the clock.

Sports included

Beach volleyball, table tennis, darts, boccia, and a fitness studio.

Children's program

For our younger guests, there is a "Kids Planet" mini club, which is open daily from 9 am to 10 pm (for ages 3-12). A wide-ranging children's program is offered. Furthermore, there are six different children's slides and children's pools (heated in winter) available.
