Location

Newly renovated and reopened in 2026, the SUNRISE Azalea Aqua Park Resort is located in the north of Hurghada, directly on the beachfront. The spacious and wide beach area with its own jetty invites you to relax and explore the underwater world. Hurghada Airport is approximately 25 kilometers away, and Hurghada's city center is about 16 kilometers away.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was extensively renovated in winter 2025/2026 and now shines in new splendor directly on Hurghada's beachfront. The resort has a total of 569 rooms spread across various building sections, including newly built, popular swim-up rooms. The resort offers guests 5 different pools, distributed throughout the complex down to the beach. One of the pools is heated during the winter months, and one pool is exclusively for adults aged 16 and over. Additionally, the resort offers three children's pools, all of which are heated. Integrated into the resort, a spacious aqua park offers water fun for all ages: ten different slides ensure sliding fun daily, with six additional slides specifically for younger guests in the children's area. For your culinary experience, there are a total of 6 restaurants in the resort (one of them for a fee), as well as three additional à la carte restaurants located in the adjacent SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort, which can be used free of charge. A selection of eight different bars (one of them for a fee, another exclusively for guests aged 16 and over) are available throughout the day. Sun loungers, towels, and umbrellas are available free of charge for guests at the pool and on the beach.

Double Room Superior

The friendly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 32m²) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and a balcony or terrace.
Also available for single occupancy (DEU). Also bookable with pool view (DSP), pool and sea view (D2S), and sea view (DMU), all with the same size and amenities.

Family Suite Sea View

The family suites with sea view (2FM, 50m²) are equipped like the DSU, but consist of two separate bedrooms (one room with a double bed, one room with two single beds).

Family Suite Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Family Suite Sea View, these rooms have direct access to the shared pool.

Double Room Superior Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Double Room Superior, these rooms are 44m² and feature a terrace with direct access to the shared pool.

The holiday resort features six different restaurants: Heliodoro buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a midnight snack; Basilico for breakfast and dinner in buffet style and à la carte in the evening; Manzoku for Asian cuisine in à la carte style in the evening; Manohar for Indian cuisine in à la carte style in the evening; Yades for Greek cuisine for lunch and dinner in à la carte style; Felucca for seafood in à la carte style in the evening. Reservations for the à la carte restaurants must be made on-site; the Felucca restaurant incurs a fee.
Additionally, the following three à la carte restaurants are available in the evenings at the neighboring hotel "SUNRISE Serano Aqua Park Resort" upon reservation: Gamila (Egyptian cuisine), Frida (Mexican cuisine), Elia (Mediterranean cuisine). Snacks are available in the Mayfair Lounge (coffee, tea, and cake) and at the Burger Boulevard from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Eight different bars, two of which are for guests aged 16 and over and one incurs a fee, are available at various times, some around the clock.

Children's program
