Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation date is always selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1, 2, 3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1, 2, 3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning continuation to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1, 2, 3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner, and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1, 2, 3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. Starting winter 2024/25, the ship has a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), while otherwise having the same amenities as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony or seating area, and instead feature a non-opening window.

The exclusive Steigenberger Golf Resort is located on a peninsula, surrounded by a dreamlike lagoon with a private lagoon beach and a spacious 18-hole golf course. The turquoise lagoon landscape invites you to rest and relax. The well-known Zeytouna Beach on Zeytouna Island, which leads into the crystal-clear water with a 400 m long jetty, is only about 2 km away. The center of El Gouna, with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants that invite you to stroll and linger, is approx. 1 km away. The center of Hurghada is approx. 30 km away, and Hurghada airport is about 35 km away.

Facilities

The Steigenberger Golf Resort was extensively renovated in spring 2023 and has since been shining in new splendor. The exclusive hotel consists of a main building and several annexes. The spacious complex was built in Nubian style and features 268 modern rooms. The house offers its guests an elegant lobby with reception and seating areas. In the spacious and beautifully landscaped garden, there are two main pools and a children's pool (one of the two main pools heated in winter, children's pool heated in winter) with a sun terrace and an inviting pool bar. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available to guests at the pool and on the lagoon beach free of charge. Three restaurants and six bars fulfill your culinary wishes. Among them, the buffet restaurant "Fairways Restaurant" with changing themed buffets and a variety of international specialties, "La Rotisserie" with international dishes, and the "Harumaki Restaurant" with Japanese cuisine (reservation required). Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience in numerous different Dine-Around offerings. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – entirely without additional costs for the food (excluding drinks).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer several times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. 18-hole championship golf course with driving range located on the hotel grounds. Green fees can be booked on site, depending on the season. Offers and prices are set by the Golf Club (equipment can be rented from local providers). Snorkeling, diving, kitesurfing, bicycle rental.
