Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The holiday package you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days as per the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary:
1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning, continue cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).

Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, which are distributed over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) but have the same facilities as the suites; they may not have a French balcony or a seating area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

The exclusive Steigenberger Golf Resort is located on a peninsula, surrounded by a dreamlike lagoon with a hotel-owned lagoon beach and a spacious 18-hole golf course. The turquoise-blue lagoon landscape invites you to relax and unwind. The famous Zeytouna Beach on Zeytouna Island, which leads into the crystal-clear water with a 400 m long bathing pier, is only approx. 2 km away. The center of El Gouna with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, which invite you to stroll and linger, is approx. 1 km away. It is approx. 30 km to the center of Hurghada and about 35 km to Hurghada airport.

Facilities

The Steigenberger Golf Resort was extensively renovated in spring 2023 and has since been shining in new splendor. The exclusive hotel consists of a main building and several annexes. The spacious complex was built in Nubian style and has 268 modern rooms. The house offers its guests an elegant lobby with reception and seating areas. In the extensive and beautifully designed garden area, there are two main pools as well as a children's pool (one of the two main pools can be heated in winter, children's pool can be heated in winter) with a sun terrace and an inviting pool bar. Sun loungers, parasols, and pool towels are available to guests at the pool and at the lagoon beach free of charge. Three restaurants and six bars fulfill your culinary wishes. Among them is the buffet restaurant "Fairways Restaurant" with rotating theme buffets and a variety of international specialties, the "La Rotisserie" with international dishes, and the "Harumaki Restaurant" with Japanese cuisine (reservation required). The resort's further facilities include an 18-hole golf course, which is popular among golfers, as well as spa, wellness, and fitness areas.

The deluxe double rooms (DD2) are about 54 m² and have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with garden view.

Premium double room lagoon or pool view

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience in numerous different Dine-Around offers. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – without any additional costs for the food (drinks excluded).
Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer several times: 1x from four nights, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests of 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from a 3 or 4-star hotel can dine in houses of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee.
