Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days as per the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is available (optionally bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).

Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins, spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served at the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. Starting winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Saver Suite

The saver suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and potentially without a French balcony and sitting area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

The beautiful hotel complex extends over nine small islands, where the various buildings of the hotel are distributed. The island landscape is connected by wooden bridges. Surrounded by crystal-clear lagoons and beautiful sandy beaches, the location creates a very special atmosphere that instantly puts you in a holiday mood. The hotel is located approx. 25 km north of Hurghada, just a few minutes' drive from the town center of El Gouna with various shops, restaurants, and bars. For a fee, you can use the regularly operating boat and bus shuttle. It is approx. 40 km to Hurghada Airport.

Superior Double Room Pool or Lagoon View

The comfortably furnished rooms (DSU) are freshly renovated and have a size of approx. 38 m². The rooms feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (refilled daily with soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, safe, and balcony or terrace with a view of the hotel's own lagoon. Also bookable as a double room for single use (DEU).

Premium Double Room Partial Sea View

The rooms (P2D) feature a walk-in shower, WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, LCD TV, minibar (refilled daily with soft drinks), coffee/tea maker, sitting area, safe, and balcony or terrace. The rooms have a partial sea view and are renovated.

Beachfront Deluxe Room

The freshly renovated Beachfront Deluxe rooms (BF2) offer the same facilities as the double rooms but are located in the first beach row. Also bookable for single use (BF1).

Family Room

The family rooms (DF2) offer the same facilities as the double rooms but consist of two rooms with a connecting door.

The Superior Suites (SU2) are similar in facilities to the Superior double rooms, but have no walk-in shower and are larger at approx. 42 m².

The main restaurant "Miramar" offers you breakfast (7-10:30 a.m.) and dinner (6-9:30 p.m.) in buffet form. Lunch is offered at "Miramar" or the "Waves" restaurant. Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program allows guests with half-board, full-board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels – with no extra cost for the food (drinks excluded).
