Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Additionally, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. As of Winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Location

The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's own sandy/pebble beach (beach shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the extensive outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for young and old.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are provided free of charge by the pool and on the beach.
Guests of "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

The Beachfront Sea View rooms (BF2, approx. 42-45 sqm) are large and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and terrace or balcony. The Beachfront Sea View rooms are located directly on the beach with a view of the sea.

Superior Double Room
