Location

The lovingly designed complex Le Duc de Praslin Hotel is situated in the middle of a tropical garden directly on the picturesque bay "Anse Volbert" and is separated from the long, white sandy beach "Côte D'Or" only by a small coastal road. The hotel is the ideal starting point for exploring the beauty of the surrounding nature. The famous beach "Anse Lazio" and the "Vallée de Mai National Park" are nearby. The transfer from Malé airport takes approx. 20 minutes to the harbor, from there by ferry to Praslin island (approx. 75 minutes) and then approx. 20 minutes by car from the harbor to the hotel.

The "jewel of the Côte d'Or" consists of several 1-story buildings housing a total of 65 units. In addition to a reception area with seating, the complex has a boutique and a hairdresser. For culinary delights, there is the main restaurant "Le Dauphin" serving Creole and international cuisine, and the à la carte restaurant "Café des Arts" offering delicacies from Neptune's realm. Cool refreshments are served at two bars. The hotel's outdoor area is a blooming paradise with numerous orchid species, tropical palm trees, and fish ponds. Here, three freshwater swimming pools with integrated children's pool, as well as a sunbathing lawn and sun terrace invite you to relax and linger. Sunbeds, umbrellas, and bath towels are provided free of charge.

The modern rooms with Creole flair (approx. 55 sqm) have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar (for a fee), safe, LCD satellite TV, iPod docking station, CD player, coffee/tea maker and espresso machine, as well as a balcony or terrace with sea view. Minimum age 16 years.

In case of high tide, the sunbathing and swimming facilities at the hotel beach are limited.
Please note that an eco-sustainability fee will be charged locally. This fee is to be paid in cash directly to the hotel per person and night and currently ranges between €1.80 and €7.20 (depending on the size of the hotel). Children under 13 years are exempt from this regulation.
For your international inbound and return flights to/from Mahé, please observe the ferry times for hotel bookings on neighboring islands (e.g., Praslin/La Digue). If you arrive after 1 PM or depart before 12 PM, a transfer to/from Praslin/La Digue cannot be guaranteed. In case of arrival/departure outside the above times due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times for immigration, our local agency will arrange an overnight stay in Mahé for you. If your booked flight times are outside the above-mentioned periods, please book an overnight stay in Mahé through your travel agent.
