Location

The barefoot island (approx. 600 x 200m) with a house reef is located in the northeast of the Baa Atoll. The transfer time from the airport in Male is approximately 20 minutes by domestic flight, followed by 15 minutes by speedboat. Transfer by seaplane (approx. 35 minutes) can be booked on request and for an additional fee.

Amenities

The resort offers a total of 126 villas decorated in a local style. Amenities include a reception, Sandy Toes boutique, and a medical clinic. Five restaurants and five different bars cater to guests' culinary needs. Sun loungers and pads are provided free of charge by the pool; loungers on the beach are reserved exclusively for the booked beach villas.

Accommodation

Sunset Beach Villa

The Sunset Beach Villas (approx. 38 m²) are situated on the west side of the island, just a few steps from the beach, surrounded by tropical vegetation. They feature a semi-open bathroom with a rainfall shower and separate bathtub, air conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities, TV, telephone, safe, and terrace (S2V).

Deluxe Sunset Villa

The Deluxe Sunset Villas (approx. 47 m²) are located just a few steps from the beach amidst tropical vegetation. The semi-open bathroom includes a rainfall shower and a bathtub. The spacious bedrooms are equipped with a king-size bed, a sofa area, air conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities, TV, telephone, and safe. There is a terrace in front of the room (SVZ).

Over Water Villa

The Water Villas (approx. 61 m²) are built on stilts over the lagoon. They feature a bathroom with a bathtub and shower, bathrobes, air conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities, TV, telephone, safe, and a wooden terrace with sun loungers, direct access to the lagoon, and sea views (W2V).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Speedboat: Expected operation for arrivals/departures between 5 AM and 11 PM // Domestic flight: Expected operation for arrivals/departures between 9:30 AM and 4 PM // Seaplane: Expected operation for arrivals/departures between 9 AM and 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane transfers may include 1–2 intermediate stops.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions apply to changes caused by flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), as well as current domestic flights, only operate during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 5 kg hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat subsequently.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it may happen that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total.
