Location

The resort is located in the Shaviyani Atoll on the island of Vagaru (approx. 575 m long and 225 m wide) with a pristine sandy beach and breathtaking flora and fauna. The island is approximately 1000 meters long and 225 meters wide. Transfer is by seaplane (approx. 55 minutes).

The resort features a total of 60 villas. Amenities include a 24-hour reception, a library, and a Spa by JW with a 24-hour fitness center and yoga pavilion. Five restaurants and three bars cater to your culinary needs, including the main restaurant "Aailaa" with international cuisine, "Fiamma" for Italian dishes, or the "Shio" restaurant, which specializes in seafood and grilled dishes. Furthermore, guests can be spoiled with Japanese cuisine at "Hashi," and fans of Thai cuisine will find what they are looking for at "Kaashi," located in a treehouse. Additionally, the resort features a Rum Baan with 98 different varieties. Alongside the private villa pools, the resort also offers two large swimming pools, one of which, "Pool 18," is for adults only. Beach towels, sun loungers, and umbrellas are available free of charge on the beach and at the pools.

Overwater Pool Villa Sunrise

The Overwater Pool Villas Sunrise are approximately 234 m² in size and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, safe, telephone, satellite TV, coffee/tea maker, minibar (for a fee), as well as a terrace with seating, a private pool, and direct access to the sea (WXS). The villas can also be booked on the sunset side for an additional charge (WXT).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, for security reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Beach Pool Villa Sunrise

With the same features as the Overwater Pool Villa Sunrise, these are slightly larger (approx. 248 m²), located on the sunrise side of the resort, and have direct access to the beach (V2X).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, for security reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Speedboat: Operation for expected arrivals/departures from 5 am to 11 pm // Domestic flight: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9:30 am to 4 pm // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9 am to 3 pm.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane transfers may include 1–2 stopovers.
