Location

The resort is located in the Shaviyani Atoll on the island of Vagaru (approx. 575 m long and 225 m wide) with a pristine sandy beach and breathtaking flora and fauna. The island is approximately 1000 meters long and 225 meters wide. Transfers are provided by seaplane (approx. 55 minutes).

The resort features a total of 60 villas. Amenities include a 24-hour reception, a library, and a Spa by JW with a 24-hour fitness center and yoga pavilion. Dining options include five restaurants and three bars, such as the main restaurant "Aailaa" serving international cuisine, "Fiamma" for Italian dishes, and "Shio," which specializes in seafood and grilled dishes. Furthermore, guests can enjoy Japanese culinary delights at "Hashi," and lovers of Thai cuisine will find their match at "Kaashi," located in a treehouse. Additionally, the resort features a Rum Baan with 98 different varieties. In addition to private villa pools, the resort offers two large swimming pools, one of which, "Pool 18," is reserved for adults only. Beach towels, sun loungers, and umbrellas are available free of charge at the beach and pools.

Overwater Pool Villa Sunrise

The Overwater Pool Villas Sunrise are approx. 234 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, safe, telephone, satellite TV, coffee/tea maker, minibar (for a fee), as well as a terrace with seating, private pool, and direct access to the sea (WXS). These villas are also available on the sunset side for an additional charge (WXT).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Beach Pool Villa Sunrise

With the same features as the Overwater Pool Villa Sunrise, these villas are slightly larger (approx. 248 m²), located on the sunrise side of the resort, and offer direct access to the beach (V2X).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. Costs are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long wait times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Seaplane flights, most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island), and currently most domestic flights only operate during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Malé may be necessary.
