Location

Quietly situated in an idyllic hillside location with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Athos. The beautiful sand/pebble beach, which is awarded the "Blue Flag" every year, is only about 100m away and can be reached via a pedestrian bridge with stairs. The town of Ouranoupolis, with its many taverns, cafes, and shops, is about 2km away; a transfer service is offered for a fee. A public bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel. The distance to Thessaloniki airport is about 120km. Due to the distance, we offer our guests a direct transfer, which takes about 2 hours.

This complex, which is very popular with regular guests and families and has an international character, can be booked as a Schauinsland-Reisen Original. The hotel is built in the local style and consists of several buildings. Facilities include 266 rooms, a reception, the bar, the main restaurant with a spacious outdoor terrace, a Greek restaurant "Sun & Salt" (à la carte), a boutique, and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is included throughout the hotel complex. In the beautiful, spacious outdoor area, you will find the swimming pool, surrounded by comfortable sun loungers, parasols, and lounge sofas, as well as the pool bar and the amphitheater. The cozy lounge area in the garden has a fantastic sea view and invites you to relax. Sun loungers and parasols are included both at the pool and on the beach. Guests receive bath towels for a deposit and a fee (towel change every 3 days is free of charge). A beach bar belonging to the hotel is available for guests on the beach. Comfortable lounge furniture offers ideal conditions for relaxing here. Parking at the hotel is free of charge.

Double room

The tastefully furnished rooms offer a particularly comfortable atmosphere. They feature a new shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, refrigerator, satellite TV, coffee/tea station (replenished daily), and a balcony or terrace (D/DA).
Some rooms may be located in the semi-basement.
Optionally available as type C with half board plus (DC), with pool/side sea view (PM/2PM), or for single use in the semi-basement with garden view/land view (DE).

Double room private pool

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these are located on the ground floor and feature an outdoor terrace with sun loungers and a private pool (PPZ).
The double rooms with a private pool are not monitored by a lifeguard. Therefore, please pay special attention to your children when using this area and exercise caution.

Double room side sea view

Available with the same amenities as the double rooms but with a side sea view (DMS/DIS/AMS/SMB).
Optionally bookable with an additional bunk bed (SDO), for single use (DES), as type F (TF2, limited availability as hotel-only), or as type C (DSC, with half board plus).

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these rooms have a panoramic sea view (2RA).

Suite

Also modernly equipped like the double rooms, the suites consist of a combined living/sleeping room with two sofa beds and a separate bedroom with a double bed. They also feature 2 bathrooms with shower/WC as well as a balcony with sea view (S2M/2MA).
Optionally bookable as a family suite with the same amenities (2FM).

Honeymoon Suite

The suites, which can only be booked for adults, feature an open bathroom with two rain showers, two washbasins, WC, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, beach towels, air conditioning/heating, telephone, 2 satellite TVs, Wi-Fi, safe, mini-refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, and a furnished balcony with direct sea view. Wine is provided in the room upon arrival (HS2).

Breakfast buffet with show cooking from 7:45-10:30 am. For dinner from 6:30-9 pm, international and local dishes are offered at the varied buffet and at the show-cooking stations.
Theme nights take place 3 times a week. Coffee, tea, and juices are included at breakfast, and beer, house wine, soft drinks, juices, tea, and coffee are included at dinner.
For guests arriving after 9 pm, a cold plate and a bottle of water will be provided in the room.
Continental breakfast from 6:30-7:45 am on request.
Gluten-free and lactose-free meals are offered. Please contact the reception upon arrival.

Breakfast buffet with show cooking from 7:45-10:30 am. At lunch, an international buffet is provided from 1-3 pm. For dinner from 6:30-9 pm, international and local dishes are offered at the varied buffet and at the show-cooking stations.
Theme nights take place 3 times a week, and ice cream is available at lunch and dinner.
Optionally, our guests can have lunch or dinner as a set menu (AI drinks included) in the Greek tavern several times per stay (from 3 nights); a reservation is required (3 days in advance). Drinks such as draft beer, house wine, soft drinks, and juices are included; brand-name drinks are available at an extra charge.
Alternatively, our guests can visit the à-la-carte restaurant for lunch and dinner without a reservation (subject to availability) and receive a 25% discount on food and drinks.
From 4-5 pm, the pool bar offers cake.
At the beach bar, coffee, soft drinks, and draft beer are available from 10 am-6 pm.
The pool bar serves national alcoholic drinks (white, rose, and red wine as well as draft beer) and national alcoholic beverages such as gin, vodka, rum, whiskey, and Greek spirits (Ouzo, Tsipouro) from 10 am-6 pm. The pool bar also offers a selection of cocktails and long drinks. Furthermore, non-alcoholic drinks such as soft drinks, juices, iced tea, various specialties from the coffee machine, and tea are available.
At the main bar, guests can also choose from 10 different alcoholic cocktails and 3 non-alcoholic cocktails daily from 6 pm-midnight.
For guests arriving after 9 pm, a cold plate and a bottle of water will be provided in the room.

Sports for a fee

Pool billiards, table football, water sports such as water skiing, diving, banana boat, and boat rental through local providers.
Our recommendation: Explore the nearby islands of Amouliani and Drenia independently. You can take a swimming break at one of the dreamlike beaches. Boats can also be rented without a boat license.

Children's program

Playground at the hotel, separate children's pool, and baby cots on request (included). Children's entertainment (4-12 years) in the period from 15.6.-15.9.

The transfer time to the Akrathos Beach Hotel is approximately 2 hours; the transfer is carried out directly from the airport to Ouranoupolis. Optionally also bookable including a rental car (SKG117A) as well as without transfer (SKG117O). Quiet location; the town of Ouranoupolis is about 2km away and is best reached by hotel shuttle service, public bus, or public taxi.

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience levy, which is payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
