Location

This complex is located near Kardamena with a magnificent view of the island of Nissiros. Situated directly on the gently sloping sand/pebble beach, where a small marina is located. In the town of Kardamena, approx. 3.5 km away, there are entertainment and shopping options such as bars, taverns, and nightclubs. Kos Town is approx. 30 km away and the airport is about 9 km away. Due to the proximity of the airport, occasional noise disturbances may occur. A bus stop is located approx. 450 m away.

The Porto Bello Royal is a comfortable resort featuring Mediterranean architecture with multi-story annex and bungalow buildings. The complex has a total of 418 rooms and is surrounded by a spacious pool and lagoon landscape that winds harmoniously through the entire resort.
The elegant main building houses an expansive reception hall with 24-hour reception, a lobby with lounge bar and terrace, comfortable seating areas, as well as an elevator. The offer is complemented by a mini-market and a boutique. Culinary variety is provided by the main restaurant with an outdoor terrace, the "Burger Project", an Italian restaurant in the evening, a Greek tavern, as well as a Mediterranean restaurant at lunchtime (each by reservation) and the "Gelateria" ice cream bar. For relaxation, an indoor whirlpool and an indoor pool are available, the latter exclusively for adults.
The outdoor area offers spacious sun terraces with several seawater pools, a separate children's pool, two whirlpools, as well as a pool and beach bar. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are included at the pools and on the beach. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel complex.
The water park of the sister hotel Porto Bello Beach (KGS065) can also be used for a fee.

The double rooms are equipped with bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, coffee/tea maker, mini-fridge, minibar (for a fee, on request), balcony or terrace, and garden view (D).

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these feature bathrobes and slippers as well as direct pool access (SWD).
Optionally also bookable with direct pool access and sea view (MBS).
The swim-up pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types for children.

Double room private pool

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these feature a walk-in shower, bathrobes and slippers, minibar with daily replenishment of soft drinks and water, as well as a private pool (PPZ).

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from 1.1.2018 onwards, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is staggered from 1.1.2025 between 0.50 Euro and 15 Euro per day and room.
