This small bungalow complex is located directly on the long sandy/pebbly beach of Kavros and approximately 4 km from Georgioupolis. Shopping and entertainment options can be found in the immediate vicinity. The beautiful old town of Rethymnon is approx. 20 km away. Chania Airport is approx. 50 km away, and Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km away.

The Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel consists of a main building and several annexes, featuring 125 rooms, a 24-hour reception, a lounge with a TV area, and a main restaurant. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex.
The garden area features a pool/snack bar and 2 pools, one of which has an integrated children's pool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included on the sun terrace; at the beach, they are available for a fee (included for AI guests, pool towels provided for a deposit).

Superior Double Room

The modern rooms feature a walk-in shower/WC, telephone, satellite TV, safe, air conditioning, refrigerator, and a balcony or terrace. The rooms are located in both the main building and the annexes (DSU, bookable for 2 people).
Optionally available with half board as type C (DC), as a super-saver room located in the main building (landside view, 2US, bookable for 2 people), or for an extra charge as additional allocation type B (DSB/DAS, located in an annex or the main building, bookable for 2 people).
For an extra charge, these can also be booked with a side sea view (D2S, bookable for 2 people) or a direct sea view (DMU, bookable for 2 people). The Superior Double Room is also optionally bookable for triple occupancy as Superior Double Room Type O (DOZ).

Single Room

These are Superior Double Rooms for single use (DSE/UB1/DAE/1GS).

Deluxe Double Room

Same as Superior Double Room, but newly furnished, higher-quality fittings, and located on the ground floor. They also feature tile and marble flooring, a flat-screen TV (incl. German channels), safe, coffee/tea station (daily replenishment), kettle, one bottle of water and one bottle of wine upon arrival, as well as a terrace furnished with an umbrella and 2 sun loungers (DD2, bookable for 2 people).
Reserved Bali beds on the beach only for guests in these rooms, subject to availability.
Optionally also bookable for single use (DD1).

Superior Family Room

Feature the same facilities as the Superior Double Rooms but with a separate bedroom and are located in the main building or in the annexes (F2U).

Maisonette

Located in the main building with a view towards the landside and the Lefka Ori mountains, these rooms feature a double bed in the lower area, and an upper area with 2 additional single beds reachable via a wooden staircase. The large bathroom with a hydromassage shower is equipped with a hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and toiletries. Furthermore, the rooms are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, satellite TV with a music channel, telephone, safe, and a balcony (M2).

Information on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from 1/1/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and has been scaled from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room starting 1/1/2025.
