The hotel is located in a quiet area, approx. 200 m from the center of Gouves. The public sandy beach is approx. 100 m away and separated only by a small coastal road. Shopping and entertainment options are located nearby. A bus stop is approx. 300 m from the hotel. Heraklion airport is approx. 14 km away.

Facilities

This beautiful, family-run hotel was renovated in 2023/2024 and features 173 rooms distributed across 9 buildings, each with 1 or 2 floors. It offers a 24-hour reception with lobby, a restaurant, a snack bar, "Mama Magda" (pizza, waffles, sandwiches, and more), internet corner, Wi-Fi (included in rooms and public areas), a children's playground, and a kids' clubhouse (with entertainment). The outdoor area includes 4 outdoor pools (2 on the ground floor, 1 on the ground floor with a whirlpool, and 1 on the roof), a children's pool, and an indoor pool (April, May, and October, heated on cool days). There is a garden, sun terrace, and lawn areas. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool. Other facilities include an amphitheater with a bar (open during some evening shows) and a 4,000 m² athletic center.

All rooms are comfortably furnished and feature a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, HD satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), telephone, air conditioning, mini-fridge (included), rental safe, coffee/tea maker (refilled daily and included), and a balcony or terrace (D). Free bottle of water upon arrival.

Single room

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these are smaller and feature a single bed (DE).

Superior double room

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these feature a shower/WC and were renovated in 2024 (DSU).

Deluxe double room

The Deluxe rooms are more modern than the standard double rooms with the same amenities and size. They feature a bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, a full-length mirror, a 49" HD Smart TV, and a larger terrace/balcony (DD2).

Premium double room outdoor whirlpool

Newly built in the summer of 2024, these Premium rooms are located on the first floor and offer a separate WC and a spacious balcony with a whirlpool, with the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms (G2J).
The whirlpool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We kindly ask for prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Premium double room swim up

Also newly built in the summer of 2024, these rooms are located on the ground floor and offer a separate WC, a spacious terrace, and direct access to a sharing pool, with the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms (SWD).
The swim-up pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We kindly ask for prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
